Mauve couldn't help but chuckle at Sabrina's joke. "You don't have to make a joke like that, Lady Sabrina," Mauve said.
"A joke? I was deathly serious."
"If you say so," Mauve replied as she looked awkwardly around the room, unsure of where she should go.
"Please, have a seat," Sabrina gestured to a chair, and Mauve was quick to move to the corner of the room where the chair lay.
"Thank you," she replied as she got comfortable.
Sabrina sat close to her with a smile on her face. "You know, it still feels unreal," she started.
Mauve looked a little puzzled. "The pregnancy?"
"Not just that—everything else. The fact that the Primus marked you and you're his mate now, the lords sort of agreed to it, and now you're pregnant." The corners of her eyes crinkled slightly as she smiled.
"You're right," Mauve said as she looked around the room. "It is unreal."
"Congratulations again."
