"I thought it would be nice to let you know about the shirt, you didn't seem very aware."
Louis looked at Jael as if Jael had smacked him and almost immediately he composed himself. "Pretending you don't know what I am talking about isn't going to make this go away and I am not leaving until I get an answer from you."
"You could have waited until sunrise. I am sure you know just how tired I am. I'll excuse the rudeness, you may leave."
"Why later?" Louis snickered. "Because you don't want Mauve to know. How about I tell her just how much you put yourself in danger, you dimwit! Are you out of your mind? Waiting any extra day wouldn't have killed you!"
Mauve turned her gaze to Jael and she saw that he wouldn't meet her eyes. He knew she was looking at him but he wasn't glancing in her direction.
"Would you not be so dramatic? I got here fine, didn't I? Don't make a mountain out of a molehill."
