CHAPTER 14

SHRANAIA’S POV

Ron was astounded by what he saw when he saw me. Even I couldn’t believe how lovely I looked and was in awe of myself. I’m not changing, but I must admit that I’m also beautiful. I’m not changing, but to be honest, I’m also mysterious. Who wouldn't love a Shranaia? I have everything, including being stunning, powerful, and fearless other than wolves. He smiled ruefully, as though no matter whom I confided in, I would never be matched.

“You are the definition of beauty,” he said.

I got a smile at what he said and turned around. “I couldn’t believe it either.”

I only nodded as he remarked, “Shranaia, Vixen should be proud of you.”

He reached out his hand to me, then assisted me in leaving the cabin. People were waiting for me as I came out, and I couldn’t imagine I would be able to see this pack again in a few years. Alpha used to be Daddy’s friend, so I really didn’t imagine I'd return here by myself without him. Other musical instruments were playing as I was on the move, and all I could think about was how I was going to exact revenge on Fuego for what they had done to my family and I.

“Even then, when they welcomed guesses, this town hasn’t changed,” I said.

Ron declared, “As long as Alpha’s leadership is excellent, nothing will change in this pack.”

I turned to face him and said, “I just want to ask you one thing.”

“What is it,” he inquired.

He glanced at me, then his eyes widened as I said, “Is there something to Jenny?”

He was unable to respond to my query and to be quite honest, I already knew the answer even before I asked the question. However, the two of them cannot share such a fate. He let out a sigh before shaking his head. I walked as I awaited his response. I welcome everyone in my immediate vicinity with a grin.

I clenched my teeth together and questioned irritably, “Are you going to answer my question or not?” We didn’t make it obvious that we were chatting.

I nodded after hearing him say, “I don’t mean to steal. Whoever she falls for, I don’t intend to take.”

I approached Vixen when we arrived at his place and gave him a lovely smile. He laughed after I turned around as a result of what I did. He shook his head and remarked, “You still haven’t changed.”

I smiled and said, “I’m pleased to see you, Alpha, and Luna.”

“Shranaia, it’s good to see you again. Your beauty remains unchanged. I can’t even resist not looking at you, ija,” the Alpha replied, and I chuckled in response.

“I sincerely appreciate your welcoming me. You don’t have to do this just for me, in any case. In addition, there is nothing unique aside from the fact that I have turned into a full-fledged wolf,” I said. They then exchanged smiles as they stared at one another.

The Luna said, “Tomorrow, you will enroll at the academy to study how to transform into a wolf, the dos and don’ts. You have nothing else to do except practice. So that you will be powerful and ready to handle any conflict you encounter.”

I smiled at her and then nodded. I said, “I’ll do that!” and she nodded as well.

Since we spent so much time here, I felt as though I knew practically every inch of this place. Even the academy they created for young wolves who aren’t yet aware of their abilities. They must learn to manage their energies as well as how to stay away from the full moon. The events have begun, and I don’t see any difficulty around. But I can still clearly recall the event that tainted my recollections. It turned into my nightmare, even in my dreams. I’m so traumatized by what occurred in the past that I can't even sleep at night.

While sitting alone, Vixen sat next to me drinking his wine while looking at the surroundings. “I heard you earlier,” he started our conversation. “You were missing your mother, aren’t you?”

My smile disappeared when I heard that word from him. “Hmm,” was my only answer.

“Even before, your mother doesn’t want to see you sad nor being like this,” he stated. “Your smile was precious to her, a gift, a treasure,” he added.

I was biting the inside of my bottom lip to keep from sobbing. I don’t want Mommy to come to see me at night simply because I cried, and I don’t want them to watch me cry. I breathed deeply, and when I opened my eyes, I was shocked to see him standing so near to me without my even realizing it. I don’t know why I glanced at his lips as I was looking into his eyes. That caused me to look away at once, after which I sighed slowly and grasped my chest.

I said, “You shocked me, why do you have to be so near me?”

I don’t know why I gazed at her lips, and I wanted to be angry with myself. Truthfully, I had no desire to taste his lips, but I was inclined to do so. However, why does this concern me? I thought I was going to have a heart attack because I was so anxious. I first gathered my composure, then I stood up straight, looked at him, and chuckled.

“Oh, I didn’t intend to catch you off guard,” he added, before adjusting his seat.

I continued to stutter as I answered, “A-alright... it’s s-not that’s your intention.”

That this is occurring to me right now is irritating. He inquired, “Are you all right?” and I nodded.

“Hmm.” I merely shifted my focus to something else and said, “Aren’t we going to go see, Jenny?” I asks. “But... maybe not now,” I thought as I took a long breath and turned to face the glass in my hand. I continued, winking, “I don’t want them hurt, I don’t want them to feel sorry for what is happening to me now, and another thing is... it’s not good to go back now since the demon brothers are hunting me.”

I snorted, grimaced, and he laughed at what I said. Although I didn’t say it, she obviously thought my phrase was humorous. He appears to be giggling alone while I scowl. When Ron and Ran came, their companion was laughing while I was snorting and irritated by his actions.

“Don’t you have a sense of humor? They really are demons,” I said, and then Ron and Ran frowned at me.

“Which devil?” they asked.

“The vampire cousins,” I replied, and they also laughed at their friend.

I didn’t make any more plans since I was more irritated by their actions and wanted to eject them from their seats—just in case I was being overly kind. They were laughing at me when I glanced at Alpha and Luna, so I reported them. Because of what I said, Alpha and Luna also laughed, and I honestly had no idea what they were thinking. I simply sighed before deciding to share and have fun with others.

While I was having fun with them, I saw something that I wasn’t sure if it was just me or if they observed as well. I have this peculiar sense that I'd like something, yet haven’t read anything about it. But this sensation causes my heart to beat and causes a terrible tightness in my chest as if I can’t breathe. I immediately left and excused myself, and when I got to the powder room, I looked at myself, then closed my eyes tightly, and took a deep breath.

“What happened to me?” I asked myself in the mirror.

The color green with yellow is grabbing my eyes, plus the strange red that surrounds the color green and yellow. I don't know what it's for, and I don’t know why I feel this way. I need to control myself, not myself controlling me. If not, what will happen, and what will the consequences be? I covered my nose and mouth, and then I was willing to clear the three colors that were competing in my eyes to see which would win. When I felt I was alright, I got up and looked in the mirror, breathing a sigh of relief. It was only now, after such a long time, that I felt it, and only now did I feel my peculiar thirst in the flesh.

“Maybe… this is what Luna talk about earlier,” I said.

When I got out, I took a deep breath, then went back to where they were. “You’re here, our other guesses from other packs are right here,” the luna said, then I looked at who the guesses were.

I looked at the location of a familiar figure to me, and there I saw Rara. “Shranaia?” She said my name, then I smiled and ran towards her.

“Rara!!!” I gave her happy greetings and hugs.

“Oh, my gosh girl! I’m glad that I already see you! I can’t even know where you’ve been all this time,” she said, then I pulled away from her.

“To make the long story short, I was in the human world, doing stressful studying to make my grades higher than Samantha,” I said, and she laughed.

“And who’s, Samantha?” she wondered.

“She’s the queen of evil, don’t mind her,” I just said, then we laughed.

One of my friends from a different pack is Rara. Despite the fact that her father never achieved the rank of Alpha, he did succeed as an Omega. Even still, after a few years of living in this chaotic world, I am glad to see her again. I introduced her to my friend in this chaotic world, and truth be told, they shared Jenny’s outlook on life with the exception that Jenny was a little moodier than her. She is quite jovial, and she doesn’t mind if you ignore her as long as she pays attention to you.

I cringed as I noticed that Ran was only focusing on her when I turned to look at him. What I do know is that he was constantly angry with her because she knew too much about improper topics. Nevertheless, Ran always saves her from trouble. She gave Ran a sidelong glance before rolling her eyes and dragging me away. She explained what had occurred to our pack to me after we were outside of the fun. In all honesty, I don’t want to revisit the intricate events that occurred.

She started to continue, “Didn’t the previous Alpha and Luna tell you anything else about what…” but he stopped short.

“What?” I ask.

She stammered, “N-nothing,” and then turned her head aside. There are many people who would rather kill themselves than have those kinds of leaders, I have bad news concerning your pack, and things there are not going well right now.

“Leading?” I ask.

“Do you not know?”

“What?”

“The story regarding Fuego’s leadership?”

I said, “Nothing,” and clinched my hands in irritation and rage.

Rara didn’t know what to do or what to say next. I know that the leadership of those in our pack will not be good either, but what I need to do is to recover what is mine. I simply sighed before regaining composure. The things that happened to me before won’t do anything good either because I will only feel fear. Another is the number of things that happened that day. I can’t remember almost everything.

“How are you studying to be a good wolf?” I asked, then she looked at me.

“Sometimes it’s wonderful, frequently it’s not,” she answered, then she winced.

“I want you to study with me now,” I said.

“You seem thrilled,” she said, and I nodded. “Hmmm. You have to be strong and strong in every fight. Another thing is that you can’t always use your power as a wolf,” she explained.

I sighed and said, “You don’t have to worry about me, Rara. Another thing is that I’m not as weak as you imagine. I still remember what the Alpha taught me and the counsel provided to me by the old Luna. If only I could go back to the past, I would have stayed there.”

I peered into her eyes as she continued to hold my hand. I smiled and nodded as she added, “The past cannot be changed. You know what is best for you after all. There’s nothing wrong with being weak occasionally, but don’t utilize it while we’re in a fight.”

I just nodded to her. “You know that you and Ran are good together,” I teased her as she looked at me, then hit me. “Aww, Rara,” I said, annoyed. “Do you know how important neurons are?”

“That will only decrease, not disappear. Another thing I did was not that too harsh,” she said, then snorted.
