A Normal Day

I look at the window, staring to the clouds. I feel so bored right now. The teacher's discussion sounds like static noise to me. Sigh. I hope something interesting happens today, it doesn't matter if the world ends, anything is okay.

I just want to escape this everyday mundane world that I'm in.

And...nothing happened, as usual.

I look from the window towards where the teacher is discussing.

My name is Albert Spencer, I'm a college student. Needless to say, I'm an average person. My looks are average, my grades are average, everything about me is average.

I don't have friends too because I'm too awkward to start a conversation, and if someone talks to me, I can't keep talking to them because I'm always running out of things to say, so instead I just reply or nod and then keep quiet, making me a cold person.

Luckily, I have never been bullied since I started college. Society isn't tolerant of bullies anymore unlike long time ago. But I know that everyone calls me a loner behind my back, that I look down on them. But I'm not arrogant, I just don't know how to talk.

I don't have anyone I know in the campus, except few famous people that are technically celebrities throughout the school.

The three princesses, whose beauty can make any guy fall.

Emilia Schmidt, a first-year student like me. A beautiful girl with hair as white as the snow. She looks like a cold beauty, but in reality she's a friendly and outgoing girl who's liked by everyone.

Louise Nakamura, a second-year student. Tall, beautiful, with long legs on par with a model. She has black hair and blue eyes which earned her the nickname 'Black Princess'. She's also known to have harshly rejected all guys who confessed to her. They say that when you look at her face, you can't help but stare endlessly, she's that beautiful.

And Elena Roberts, a first-year student. She's my childhood friend. Did I say that I didn't have anyone that I know? Well I do have one, but technically we're not friends, we don't even talk anymore. She has blonde hair, and blue eyes, that her beauty is even praised by the school as a national standard.

Those three are the untouchable princesses. Sadly, even if you like one of them, you wouldn't even have the chance to confess as tons of boys will stop you. Even if you do pass that hurdle, you're prayers won't be answered because you're going to be definitely rejected.

There are also famous guys, but why would I even talk about them.

Anyway, the bell rang, it was time to go home. I live in an apartment near the school. My family has more money than the norm, so they could afford me a good place to stay.

Along the way outside, nothing happened, as I expected. There's no way anyone would be waiting for me outside.

I arrived at my apartment. I cooked dinner for myself then took a bath. After that, I went to my room to study.

After studying for a while, I closed my notebook and opened my computer to play games. The game I'm playing is Hearts of Steel IV. It is an role-playing fantasy game. You can choose different classes for your character, and I chose mage. Magic is interesting than the laws of physics, a fireball appearing out of nowhere is more fun than some blackboard full of math equations.

Anyway, this game is the only thing that distracts me from this harsh reality. I'm not going to be a famous person, nor I have the interest to be. It's just a hassle. If I was born with a handsome face, ladies would flock to me, which is very troubling than being alone. The world of fantasy is much more fun than reality.

1 hour later, I finished playing, and laid down on the bed. Looking at the ceiling, I started to think that another normal day has passed. I close my eyes and gently fall asleep. I thought that maybe, if I wake up, I might get transmigrated to another world full of magic.

Morning arrived, and it was still the same boring magic-less world.
