The Untold Truth About Her Boss

"Your boss doesn't deserve you," Clifford revealed. "Why are you telling me all this?" I narrowed my eyes at him. "Because I want you for myself. You're the woman of my dreams." Compared to how he behaved when he came to deliver stuff to me, he was very blunt now. "What if I don't like you back?" "I'll wait, after all, I'm good at that." He didn't look fazed. "Why me? I don't even own a business of my own." I told him. "You don't need to own a business, Arleen. It's just you I need." "What do you need me for?" "I need you to be my woman, that's all." He answered. **** Arleen Theodore is a secretary who is in love with her boss, Damion Clinton, but he doesn't love her back although he's aware but acts ignorant. GETTING DEEP

"What is she like?"

"From what I've read and seen, she's industrious and brilliant in every way." I answered dutifully and I saw him nod in appreciation.

We were currently on our way to see a famous business woman we thought would be excellent for partnership.

"What's my next schedule after seeing her?" He asked.

"You have an important meeting with your father and the board," I answered sharply and he nodded.

I was finally getting a hang of it as I had worked for him for over a year now and still counting. It made me feel on top of the world when I got everything right.

"When we get back, make sure you have a quick snack before the meeting." He instructed and it made me admire him more.

It wasn't a new thing for him to show interest in whether I have eaten or not, after all, I was his secretary.

"Alright Sir."

Not long after, our car finally pulled up in front of a storey building with a bold stylish writing at the top; "BEVERLIOUS"

On stepping out, I was up and running due to how fast Damion was. He was tall, broad, muscular and lean in the right places.

"Welcome Sir, please this way." A man approached my boss and showed him another direction which I immediately followed in order not to be left behind or I would be in trouble.

We got into an elevator and I quickly stood by Damion's side because I knew he would ask another question.

"How does she look in person?"

Great, he was asking about her personality.

"She's flamboyant but nice." I whispered to his ear and he hummed.

Soon, the elevator stopped and we stepped out right after the man.

The woman had a large taste for good things and the hallway leading to her office had so much bodily painting you could get lost in them.

Nevertheless, they rhymed with her line of work for she was into cosmetics, beauty, clothing and everything that had to do with the body.

"Excuse me for a moment sir," the man excused himself as he went into her office on arrival and Damion took that opportunity to ask another question.

"Does she get on your nerves?"

I was taken aback but I quickly fixed my expression.

"Yes, but slightly."

"Alright."

The thick glass door came open as the man invited us in.

As soon as the business lady laid eyes on Damion, she smiled and stood up.

"It's good to finally see you Mr Damion, please have a seat."

She had on maroon lipstick and she wore a sleek velvet gown with gold bracelets and earrings.

Taking some steps in her direction, Damion shook hands with her and returned the smile before sitting down on the comfy white couch in her office.

I remained standing at the doorside with the man I believed must be her secretary.

"I must say that I am greatly impressed," I heard Damion say and I blinked as I watched him closely.

For some odd reason I was beginning to feel a kind of way. Was it because the woman was more posh than I?

Her name is 'Beverley Coleman' and the meaning rhymed with her personality for she was ambitious.

The very first time I met her, I admired her but now I felt threatened.

Threatened? Why?

Well, I could tell that she was slowly winning my boss over due to his reactions towards her, it was maddening.

Suddenly, I got a call and I had to excuse myself because it was important.

Stepping out, I answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Good evening ma'am, you ordered something from us and I was asked to deliver it to you," the unknown caller said.

"Please who is this?" I knew I ordered something but I wanted to be sure who was delivering.

"I'm Clifford Edson."

"Oh, alright. When will it be delivered?"

"I'm currently at the given address ma'am," he responded and I sighed heavily because I wasn't at home and it was unsafe to leave it outside.

It was currently 10am and the meeting with Beverley would last for at least an hour or so. Giving it a thought, I decided to quickly rush home because it was just a 5 minutes drive.

"Alright, I'll be on my way."
