The Hostess

"But why Souhlan?"

It was a man in white robes, who handled the puppet house of the town and had been a wandering puppeteer for a big part of his life.

Nesrin and Izekiel pretended to come for the sake of watching a puppet show, but their purpose was to gather some information from the town people.

"A relative lives there," Nesrin lied, "We wanted to meet them."

"Even if it's a relative," the puppeteer frowned, "Why would go to such a wasteland? It's at the very peak of the mountains I heard, the weather there is bizarre!"

"You are right," Izekiel agreed, "However, it's about my father. If we need to cross the bizarre climate for him, it's all worth it."

The man's eyes softened as he glanced at Nesrin.

"Even the young lady agreed to go there?"

She only smiled and nodded. The man sighed, his eyes were lined with tears as he wiped them.
