18. One choice among two

Wen Yu took a deep breath to calm her emotions.

She told Luo Chen, "Please refrain from looking for me in the future. Not everyone suppose to be here here to add glory or some salt and pepper to your love story."

Luo Chen was used to being favored throughout her whole life ; it's the first time she face rejection.

She persisted in trailing Wen Yu, determined to understand why Wen Yu didn't like her.

Thus, one after another, they entered a small alley.

Wen Yu felt there was no escaping now. She turned to drive Luo Chen away, but the next moment, her eyes widened.

Luo Chen was attacked from behind.

"It's her, Guo Xiang's fiancée."

"If we grab her, Guo Xiang won't hesitate to pay!"

"And here's another chick, grab her too; she might be valuable."

Before Wen Yu could scream, darkness engulfed her as she was thrown into a sack and dragged into a car.

Don't know how long does it takes.

Wen Yu woke up.

She found herself in an abandoned warehouse, tied to a broken chair.

Beside her, Luo Chen was similarly bound, crying and cursing.

"Do you know who I am?"

"My brother will make you pay!"

"Let me go!"

A man who resembled like a monkey was annoyed by her noise and slapped her hard.

"Shut up! Else, I'll tear your clothes."

Luo Chen cried even louder.

The monkey didn't dare do anything drastic because the Luo family was not to be trifled with, especially Lawyer Louise Luo.

The monkey tossed a phone to Luo Chen, "Call your man and tell him to prepare 20 million dollar , not a penny less! Also, tell him to come alone and warn him not to play tricks or report to police ! ; otherwise, we won't hold back!"

Luo Chen was petrified.

She tearfully called Guo Xiang.

The Luo Residence—

The atmosphere was tense; Luo Chen had been kidnapped, and the beautiful Mrs. Luo tearing anxiously.

Luo's father and son, along with Guo Xiang, had been waiting for a call.

Luo father was displeased—those scoundrels were brought by Guo Xiang; he had to pay for this.

After about two hours, Luo Chen's call finally came through. She was out of breath, finally explaining the punk's demands.

Guo Xiang comforted her gently.

Luo Chen finally stopped crying on the call, feeling a sweet relief.

She knew Guo Xiang loved her deeply and wouldn't let her suffer.

As the conversation approached its end, suddenly, a trembling female voice was heard, "Don't touch me, please don't touch me!"

Guo Xiang's hand holding the phone trembled; he knew that voice all too well.

It was Wen Yu!

How could she be with Luo Chen?

Guo Xiang's thoughts wandered to the possibility of those dirty hands laying on her. His rage was just intolerable !

However, when he looked up and met Louise Luo's piercing gaze, he suddenly snapped back to reality!

Louise Luo was too shrewd and sharp ; if he showed any sign of suspicion, all the effort he had put into the Luo family would be in vain!

Guo Xiang was ruthless, and he knew it.

He pretended not to know Wen Yu and directly addressed the thugs on the other end, "I'll bring 20 million; you must not harm my fiancée."

After saying that, even he felt somewhat dazed.

After ending the call, Guo Xiang assured the Huo elders, "This was my faulth. Uncle, Aunt, trust me, I'll safely bring Luo Chen back safely ."

Luo father nodded; he still admired Guo Xiang.

Guo Xiang drove off.

Only the Luo family remained at the villa.

Mrs. Huo felt somewhat relieved and, wiping her tears, hesitated before saying, "I think I heard Miss Wen's voice just now. Did you hear it, Louise?"

Louise Luo, already with the car keys, calmly replied, "I'll go and take a look. Don't worry. Nothing will happen if I am around " with sounds of confidence .
