Eleonore’s POV
Days after the first council meeting, the fourth had come to my room every morning and retrieved me. Later I would follow her to a garden in silence, without breakfast, and we would train until sundown. There were days where I was so tired I could barely stand when I got back. The hunger didn’t phase me, not really, but there was a worry in the back of my mind for my baby.
I didn’t know if the council knew I was pregnant, or if they knew if my baby had any connections to the demons, up until a moment I had had with the fourth on the last day of training.
“Why do you exhaust so easily?” She snapped, finally, having grown tired of me constantly needing to take a break. And when I looked up from the ground where I was sitting, my wide eyes staring at her, I could see something shift in her expression as she examined me even more closely.
