Werewolf showdown

Kai PoV

"Wanna give me a reason to not beat your ass for trying to break my car windows!"

I yell at him and get ready to attack.

He chuckles and says menacingly,

" I'd like to see you try," He then brings out his claws out and fangs and roses at me before I do the same.

I lunge at him swiping my claws at his chest but he steps back and grabs my arm before trying to knee me in the gut. I grab his knee as it comes up and dig my claws in and then head but him straight on the chin. I step back smirking noticing that he also took a step back and is looking pissed. I grin at him and yell,

"BRING IT ON THEN"

He grunts and starts attacking fiercely, his claws targeting different parts of my body in attempt to break through my guard, I notice him telegraphing that he's about to claw me with his left hand so I shift more of my defence to my left but a sudden swipe to my right sends me stumbling back. I look down and see the deep claw marks over my ribs that are stopping me from moving too

much and realise what happened. The bastard tricked me. He was telegraphing on purpose to weaken me knowing that I'd need to focus on defending my right side now so that it doesn't get worse. I grit my teeth pissed. But not at him. At myself for being overconfident. Knowing how to use my powers and knowing how to fight with them are truly different things even with with my month of training.

It's true what they say, there's only so much you can get from training on your own. Real combat is the fastest way to learn. I accept that I was overconfident and I swear to myself that it won't happen again. I look up noticing he's glaring at me as he fully transforms with his blue eyes on display and his face morphed. I do the same and my blaising yellow eyes and facial transformation appear in an instant and I roar at him. He roars back provokingly, I grin and launch my self at him at my max speed and I see the look in his eyes as I've caught him off guard and I swipe my claw at his thigh to try slow him down and rip through it in an instant before he tries to uppercut me but I manage to change position so that it grazes my shoulder, I go to headbut him but he beats me to it and I feel my brain rattle before I'm kicked away to the floor. I stay down disoriented as I look at him and notice how he's limping over before he says,

" If that's all you got how about we stop before I do worse, your not the guy I'm looking for so we don't need to kill each other."

I chuckle loud enough for him to hear. I know that now he's aware I'm not the Alpha he doesn't care about me. And worse yet he thinks he's won. I contemplate transforming. I didn't wanna draw more attention than necessary since I know how rare my ability is and that a certain blind man will come for me at some point. But I make my decision. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I accept that it's a stupid decision and that I was right, I'm a battle maniac. I look up smirking at him a few meters away and say,

" I don't care. I'm not gonna kill you. I don't even know if I could. I'm a lot of things but I'm not a killer."

He then starts to reply,

" Good let's ta.."

I Interrupt him instantly,

" But you see I don't like losing, i won't kill you but im gonna beat you up a bit because … if you thing that's all I got then you're in trouble mate."

I then shapeshift into my wolf form and feel everything strengthen even further and look at him and see from his face that he's shocked. Now,in my four legged wolf form I growl at him and see that he's compeltely serious, he's not underestimating me any more. I lunge at him and before he can even react I've jumped and sunk my teeth into his arm and start clawing his side before he waves his arm and slams me against the floor, expecting me to let go but I don't. I keep my jaw clenched and keep scratching him all over and he keeps slamming me back and forth over and over before he finally stops and says in a low voice,

" You win, I can't get you off without killing you and I don't wanna do that, at least not yet."

I growl at his threat but notice how injured we both are and I realise that if we keep going then once of us will kill the other. I stay silent for a couple seconds before I let go and back away from him before transforming back. I stand up in human form and put my hand out to help him up. He looks gloomily at me before he reluctantly takes it and I help him up. He stands up and says,

" Get some clothes on before I get arrested for being in front of a naked minor."

I then look down and the realisation finally hits me. I cover my important part with my hand before I rush off to my car yelling,

"Sorry"

I open the trunk and grab one of my spare sets of clothes that I now keep in there for this very reason. I put on boxers and tracksuit bottoms and my long sleeve vest before putting on my sliders since I forgot to pack a spare pair of shoes. I shut the trunk before I walk back to him and say,

" I really liked those shoes man, now I gotta buy new ones."

He smirks at me before replying,

" You know most of our kind would kill to have that ability regardless of what it does to clothes."

I grin and reply, " Wouldn't know since I've never met one of us before except some new kid who just turned in school."

" What? How'd you learn to shift if you never met another werewolf before?"

" I'm self taught and believe me it weren't easy but the Internet helped solve most of my problems plus I'm pretty smart so I got the hang of it in a few weeks of practise."

" I'm impressed. Wait,were you born or bitten?"

" Pretty sure I was born since I've never been bitten by anything. And what do you mean bitten. Is that how we make others like us?"

"Not me or you. We're betas or in your case an omega since I'm guessing you don't have a pack right?"

I nodd at his question and he continues,

" Only an Alpha can turn someone by bite. They're also the strongest of our kind. Me and you on our own wouldn't stand a chance against an Alpha even in your fully shifted form."

" Damn, I thought I was strong but if that's the case then I need to be more careful from now on. Wait why are you telling me this, we don't know each other and I can tell your not the type to help outta the goodness of your heart."

He grins,

"Your right. And the reason I'm telling you this is because I'm making you an offer. I can help you, teach you, answer your questions but I need something in exchange."

"Depending on what you want I have no problem helping you but I need the truth and I'll listen to your heartbeat so if you lie deals off. Agreed?"

Derek looks at me contemplating before he looks at me and gruffs before replying," Fine then"

"Cool. You mind if we talk and drive cos my foods cold now and I need to refill especially after that transformation."

" That's fine, let's go."

We both then walk over to my car before I drive off too another drive through and order two large 18 inch pizzas before I park in the car park and start eating whilst Derek begins explaining.

" Like I said, only alphas can turn by bite. That kid in your school was out in the woods last night and got bit by it. And the alpha is what i want your help with. I want you to help me kill it"

I slurp some of the melty cheese and swallow it before replying

" Why the hell you wanna go against an Alpha if they're as strong as you say, this sounds suicidal not to mention you said that we wouldn't have a chance against it.

"On our own no. But together, as a pack we have a shot. And that thing wasn't always an Alpha. The only way to become an Alpha is by killing one or stealing it by almost killing them. My sister came here looking for something. She was an Alpha and last night she went out and I never heard back from her. I went looking for her and found her ripped in half and if she died her alpha spark would've transferred to me. The only way that doesn't happen is if another werewolf killed her and took it. It's not a coincidence that a random Alpha appears the same night my sister is killed."

" You want revenge. Revenge for your family."

"Yes i do. With or without you im gonna kill this thing but id rather you with me since even i know that on my own ill die. I'm also gonna get the newly bitten kid to help as well and the three us have a good shot at killing it."

"Firstly, in exchange for knowledge and help you want me to help you kill the guy responsible for killing your sister."

"Yes"

"Look man im sorry about your sister but your asking me to risk my life for a guy I've never met before. I can't do that. If you need my help that doesn't involve me fighting it then ill do what i can but I can't risk my life. Not even if you offer to answer my questions."

"Look, Omegas never survive on their own. We're stronger in a pack and i dont mean strength in number, we are literally stronger in every way. and it's not just other supernatural you gotta worry about. There are people out there far worse who will kill off anyone your close to just to weaken you.They wont care about collateral damage."

"Ill take your word for it but im not changing my mind. I've got too much to lose.

Ill keep an eye on Scott and make sure he doesn't go feral or anything but that's it. If i find anything out ill let you know but that's all i can do."

He stares at me and can see that hes pissed but he soon calms down and replies,

"The offers still open if you ever change your mind."

I nod at him to show i understand before he gets out my car and walks off leaving me in my thoughts about what's transpired and what it means for my future. Only one sentence in my mind now. Why's my life so complicated?

Timeskip 10 O'clock at night

I dont know what to do. Do i wanna be in a pack? I mean i know ill need one eventually but right now? And how can i be expected to risk my life for someone I've never met. All i want is to enjoy my life, no homocidal Alpha's or other supernaturals looming over me. I mean sure i wanna help but im not getting ripped in half. 'Yawn' Damn. I need some sleep. Let's just leave tomorrows problems to tomorrow.
