Chapter 20

He stood up and started looking for how to open the place, after several trials he was able to open it.

When he opened it he saw nothing because it was very dark, but it looks like an underground passage.

Without wasting time he walked into the place abs started following the line, he paused walking when he saw that there was a slit road he could hear some conversations from the other side and they all sounded like the warriors, and he couldn’t hear anything from the other side of the place then he decided to pass the road that he is not hearing anything from.

He knew within him that the other side might be dangerous but he still wanted to try his luck and pass the place. While he was going he couldn’t stop thinking of where he was heading to.

He paused at a point to look at the place very well and then he noticed the place he was passing has to be under the house.

He continued moving and finally he got to the end. He looked around and touched the place very well to see if there is a way he can get out. While touching it he noticed it was something he can remove, he removed sand from the front and opened the wooden door.

When he opened it he was surprised to see where he found himself in.

“What is this place?” He asked himself and continued walking while looking around.

When he went closer he sighted a young girl sitting on the bed, from her back he could tell he has seen her before.

Isabelle was still trying to get her head off the past and move on. She has been keeping everything it in her heart so that it’ll stop hurting her, but she feels it’s time for her to forgive herself and move on completely.

“I am sorry, I have to stop blaming myself for your death, I hope you are peaceful wherever you are.” Isabelle said to her myself aloud. She shut her eyes and tears welled down her eyes.

While her eyes were shut she felt she was hearing footstep from behind her. She thought she was hearing the footstep of her dead friend.

Out if fear she opened her eyes immediately and turned back.

She was shocked to see who was standing behind her, she looked around the room trying to know where he came out from.

“How are you here?” Isabelle asked him still shocked to see him in her room. Robert Louis was equally shocked to see himself standing in front of the same woman he was smiling stupidly with.

He remembered how he was smiling foolishly when she was talking to him and he started feeling very shy.

“I don’t know how I got here I just followed..” then he realized the underground was heading directly to Isabelle’s room.

“It was leading me here?” Isabelle was so confused that her head started spinning.

“What are you talking about?” Isabelle asked him after trying her best to understand what he was saying but she couldn’t understand anything.

“I followed an underground path to this place.” Robert Louis was finally able to explain to her. Isabelle couldn’t believe what ste just heard.

“How is that even possible.” Isabelle asked Robert Louis surprised, then she remembered this was not always her room until one day her room burnt and she was moved to this room, but it’s been years now abs she is just realizing that there is an underground path to the prison from her room.

“Wow.” Isabelle said and sat back on the bed, Robert Louis walked closer to her and looked at her face very well.

“She is so pretty.” Robert Louis said to himself while he was looking at her face.

Isabelle noticed Robert Louis was looking at her face so she started feeling very shy about it. She touched her face, she remembered she just finished crying so she felt her face will look horrible maybe that’s why he is staring at her that way.

“Uhmm.. what’s your name?” Robert Louis asked Isabelle, Isabelle removed her hand from her face and looked at Robert Louis.

“”Isabelle.” She said to him and used her hand to shift her hair to the back of her ear with a shy smile on her face.

“Nice name.” Robert Louis said to Isabelle and smiled, the weather was getting hot as both of them were just smiling without saying anything, their heads was blank they had nothing to say to each other.

All of a sudden Isabelle remembered Robert Louis was supposed to be dumb and here he is really talking, it means she was hearing double the day she heard him say something in the prison.

“Are you not supposed to be dumb?” Isabelle asked Robert Louis. It was then Robert Louis remembered he had been talking all along and he told her father that he is dumb, what if she says the truth to her father?

Isabelle noticed he was already looking scared for saying forgetting his lies, she smiled and stretched her hand.

“Don’t worry my mouth is zipped.” Isabelle said to Robert Louis and demonstrated with her hand on her lips.

Robert found it hard to believe what she said but it’s not like he had another choice, he just had to pretend he was fine with the fact that she will not say anything to anyone so that he doesn’t complicate the whole thing.

Harold was in his room and all of a sudden he remembered the stranger had been in the prison for up to two day and no one has come for him, it may mean one thing.

“He is not an intruder.” Harold said to himself and put his hand on his cheeks.

Harold stood up from where he is sitting and walked out of his chamber and decided to go to the prison and visit the imprisoned stranger. Meanwhile, Robert Louis was still in Isabelle’s room.

The moment Harold stepped out of his chamber he saw the head warrior, he paused walking so he can hear why the head warrior was here to see him.

Each time he see the head warrior he always look in his eye and all he see is a very ambitious young man, he looks like one that dab do anything just to take Harold’s position.

Harold has been holding in the thought of trying to kill him before he do same, but now it looks like he is showing his true colors because he feel there Is a big war arriving soon and he is the one that will lead the army being the head of the warriors which was appointed to him recently.

Harold is more scared that during the period of the war he can kill him and pretend someone else from the opposing party killed humans at the end of the day he will have his daughter and his throne all to himself.

Harold felt he was overthinking already what if the head warrior actually don’t have any interest in taking the his place of even marrying his daughter? What if his instincts are completely wrong.

The head warrior noticed that Harold has been staring at him like he was watching a movie through him, he was wondering what’s going on but he dare not ask.

Harold finally noticed he had been staying for long already he placed his hand on his eye and pretended like he was trying to clear something in his head.

“Why are you here?” Harold asked the head warrior. The head warrior was still wondering what Harold was trying to do when he was looking at his face.

“I was going to tell you that I want to check the prisoner.” The head warrior explained to Harold honestly. Harold was surprised because they were actually going the same way.

“Let’s go.” Harold said to the head warrior, the head warrior was surprised because Harold was going to see a stranger that was imprisoned which is really unlike him.

Robert Louis was so happy to see Isabelle once again and they had a great time talking to each other about some personal things.

“When will you tell my father the truth?” Isabell asked

Harold and the head warrior finally got to the prison entrance and they decided to go in, while they were walking inside the head warrior was praying Harold would kill Robert Louis today.

They got to the room that they kept Robert Louis in and they were shocked. Harold opened his eye wider than usual and they both looked at each other.
