Weakest Punch

'Wait! God or whatever sin of lust! Answer me! You said I could take them to New Earth? How? Why don't you do it yourself? You are a god, right? Hey! Answer me! Shit!', Cane cursed as he called out the God Sin of Lust.

After the one minute that was promised, the scenery changed when he suddenly opened his eyes, and he gasped for air right after.

'Brain activity detected. Doc, are you okay?', Liz's voice rang in Cane's ear.

'Yes. Did I level up successfully?' Cane hurriedly inquired, "How long did it take?"

'You are the first person to have undergone awakening for 90 hours. But I don't know what happened to you after that caused you to be in a coma. You have been on life support for 5 months now.', Liz said.

'Almost four days, huh? You are right. The gods in this world are true after all. I just had a conversation with the God who claimed to be the Sin of Lust. I think our interaction only lasted for 50 seconds, but I was in a half-dead state for 5 months. Crazy!', Cane shared with Liz.

Cane realized he needed to work on another goal now that he knew he had a family in his old world. He actually left the woman who made his heart jump at first sight and had a son that was a result of the 'treatment'. God Sin of Lust told him that they were doing fine, so he sighed in relief. The only problem was that his memories of the old world would slowly get erased and he would surely forget about them if he did not do what that god advised him to.

'Liz. Remind me of these things that I am about to tell you. These are my goals in this life. I hope I can complete them before turning to ash.'

'Go ahead, Doc.'

'I have to bring the golden-haired woman and my son from my old world here. Find my parents. Ultimately, I have to build a paradise for all of them to be safe.'

'Noticed, Doc. Are you referring to the golden-haired woman I assumed the appearance of? She must be significant to you. And when you say your son, do you imply that you already have a family in your previous life? '

'You are genuinely an evolving AI. Liz, you astound me. I'm not sure how to say it in a way that you can understand. It's a bit difficult. My relationship with her can be summarized as follows: 'She is my woman, and she became pregnant and gave birth to my son, but I did not have the chance to spend more time with them.'

'I understand. How is your body? Do you feel any powers inside you? Your body's viral gene data is either unique or may be classified from the public, so I don't know if you have an element or just pure physical strength. Not even the archives from your father's research had anything related.', Liz asked.

Cane was not sure of it himself. He could undoubtedly feel that his body's physical strength leveled up. But due to the lack of information, he did not have a way to measure it by the standards of the outside world.

'It is no use knowing the specifics of what my body holds because I definitely think that the significant information pertaining to viral gene mutations is being controlled by those big organizations. It is a common scenario that they will do so in order to prevent people or organizations with bad intentions from using it.', Cane theorized.

He got out of the capsule and tried to do some reflexes with his body. He finally had a body that can only be described as ripped. The Cane of the past was already physically fit as a doctor, but it was nothing compared to the current one. In the end, in his fascination with what this world was capable of, he can only hope that his old world will also advance to the same or higher level of technology without getting destroyed by humankind's own hands.

'Liz. I have a feeling that the viral genes that my parents put in me are not simple. Please let me take a look at the skills that my father's division formulated.', Cane said.

When Liz showed the names and simple descriptions of the skills available on the big monitor, Cane couldn't hold his awe and apprehension towards them.

'Heaven collapsing fist? Star destruction palm? Gravity Hook? Holy Eyes? What's up with all these skill names? Can they actually do what they were named as?'

Liz saw how Cane reacted and explained. Those skills were just for level one of the viral gene evolution. The creator of the skills was a Chinese scientist who believed that if a superhuman leveled up to the peak of his viral evolution, the skills would live up to their names.

Cane inhaled a mouthful of air after hearing what Liz explained. He thought that he had gotten numb to the shocking and magical aspects of New Earth, but he was actually wrong. He can't hide his excitement anymore. Who can? In his old world, who did not want to have superpowers? Cane rubbed his hands in anticipation.

'Liz. Which skills do you think are suited for me? I wanted you to find out the strongest superhuman outside, but I guess I just need to focus on what I have. I don't plan to conquer the world, so as long as I can fulfill the goals that I told you about, then I will be satisfied.'

'Based on your father's work and the outside world data, level 1 superhumans tend to acquire swordsmanship skills. It is highly recommended because it trains the body and helps the manifestation of elements if a superhuman has one. Would you like me to filter it for all swordsmanship skills?'

'Wait. I think that is just lame. Can't it be better if I trained in using guns and similar equipment?', Cane suggested.

'Guns are not usable anymore. Their last known use was before the founding of New Earth. Due to the undying virus, superhumans and failures have tough bodies that make bullets useless. You can try punching one of the bunker walls to see that I am right.'

Cane was skeptical of Liz's claim, so he walked up to a wall and punched as hard as he could.

Boom!

A loud booming sound reverberated throughout the bunker. He was shocked by the aftermath of his punch. He saw that the wall caved in about 12 inches deep and checked that his fists did not even have scratches. A feeling of fascination and expectancy rose inside of him.

'I love this world. I already have this much physical power, even at level one. If I am lucky enough to have an element as well, then I am one step closer to finding my parents and bringing my woman and son here.', Cane exclaimed.

Congratulations, Doc. Although your punching strength is the lowest of the known punching records, you still successfully leveled up.', Liz said without emotion.

Cane felt like a bucket of cold water was suddenly poured on him.

'Don't worry, Doc. The current world's weakest punching record is actually 13 inches deep. So, you are not that far off. They use the same material as the bunker wall, so I am positive that what I said is accurate. Your physical strength might be attributed to premature DE hibernation or something else. If this will make you feel okay, the record holders of the strongest punches are essentially superhumans with normal viral gene mutations. Those with supreme viral gene mutations or elements tend to be weaker physically.'

Cane grinned when he heard Liz explain everything to him. He didn't care who was weak or strong; all that mattered to him was that he had a good chance of possessing an element.

Liz is a savage!
