Disappointment

The day starts off as a young teenager named Pretty Rivera gets ready for school.

"Gotta go fast",Pretty says as she hurrys while dressing.

"Pretty, breakfast's ready", Evelyn Rivera, Pretty's mom says from downstairs.

Finally, after a long while of dressing, pretty walks out of her room ready and set for school. She then proceeds to the kitchen where she meets her mom and dad.

"Morning mom, Morning dad", Pretty greets both her parents before ravaging her breakfast and finishes it in one go.

"Morning dear",her parents both reply in unison.

"Well it seems someone's hungry", Pretty's dad says.

"How was your night my dear", Pretty's mom asks her.

"It was a blast",Pretty replies smiling.

"Um dad, I was wondering if after school I could see a movie with you ",Pretty asks.

"Okay, it's fine by me", Pretty's dad replies.

"You really mean it dad",Pretty says.

"Sure why not",he says standing up and leaving for work.

"Ok mom, gotta go", Pretty says as she runs out of the house pecking her mom on the cheek.She enters the bus which was also filled with kids wearing the same uniforms as her's.

The school was a standard one with classy buildings and high-quality teachers.As it should, being in a well developed city.

The students, upon arrival at the school's premises, all walked to their respective classes.

They all look brilliant and spoke dignity with their appearance but one outstood all.

It was Pretty Rivera. As the students body president she needed to look perfect and she did.

Her uniform was neately ironed, her shoes were well polished.

She was the perfect example of an outstanding student.

She walked into her class swiftly before their teacher did and she sat down.The teacher, after settling down began to teach the class.

After a long while of teaching, the teacher left the class and the students all went out for recess. Pretty used this time to talk with her friends. She walked out of the class and went to the school's cafeteria.

"Pretty, over here",Miranda, Pretty's best friend called out to her from one of the tables.Seeing that, Pretty walked over.

"What up guys", Pretty said as she sat down.

"Hey",both of her friends said in unison.

"So what's the plan for tomorrow afternoon. You guys all now we are going for the party right.",Orwen,Pretty's close friend said.

"You're right we are. As students body president, I need to make an entrance though, but...",Pretty said with a fuzzy face.

"But what", Miranda asked in suprise.

"I really don't want to go out tomorrow. Saturday is my day, the only day where I get to be free from school work", Pretty sighed.

"We get it but you just have to be there no matter what", Orwen said.

"Your right, ok I'll go just because you guys are coming, right?", Pretty asked

"Of course we will. What kind of friends would we be if we don't", Miranda said.Recess was over and they went back to their classes.

After classes, they went back home.

"Ok, guys see you tomorrow", Pretty said as she waved her friends from her dad's car.

"Bye", they both waved back.

As Pretty stepped out of the black Ferrari which had just been parked in the garage of the Rivera mansion, she is welcomed by her mother who just came out of the mansion. Then Pretty walked up to her room and freshened up for the evening.

Some hours later, she heard a knock on her door.

"Come in", Pretty said as she surfed the web with her laptop. It was a maid named Josey, that entered her room.

"Um, Pretty your father said I should pass you a message on your arrival from school", Josey said.

"Which is", Pretty asked.

"He said he would not be able to accompany you to the movies because he has an urgent matter to take care of at the company", Josey said.

"Thanks Josey, your the best", Pretty said as Josey left her room.

'I knew he would let me down ', Pretty thought.

She then continued her search until she saw a message from someone.

She opened the message and saw that it was from Orwen.

'Hey, just wanted to let u know the party has been cancelled. So in other words ur free tomorrow', the message read.

"Well I did not see that coming", Pretty said.

After the ordeal with her dad she decided not to go see the movie again and spend time together with her mother.

"So, I here a special someone is into you", Pretty's mom said teasingly.

"And who might that unlucky person be", Pretty asked squinting her brows.

"Sources say he's from the Rodrigo family.", Pretty's mom smiled as Pretty instantly knew who it was.

" Oh my god mom, No!. I and Orwen are just friends and that's it.", Pretty said with an irritated look.

"He's a really nice kid though...", Pretty's mom was saying before Pretty cut in.

"Nope, I'm not gonna talk about relationships with you, ok", Pretty said while her mother laughed.

After the chit chat they ate dinner without Pretty's dad which made them worried. After that Pretty went up to her room to sleep. She was feeling extremely tired after waiting for her dad to show up but he didn't.

As she layed on her bed about to sleep her mother came into the room and kissed her head before turning off the lights and walking out of the room. When Pretty's mom was done with that she resumed her position in her bedroom awaiting her husband's return.

After a while of waiting, her husband finally returned from work and entered the bedroom.

"How is my beautiful wife doing at this time of the evening", Pretty's dad kisses his wife's forehead.

"I'm alright thanks for asking but what about your daughter", Evelyn said as Antonio stopped what he was doing.

"I know I messed up big time, How did she take it", Antonio asked.

"I'm not sure she took it well, she really didn't seem happy when we talked", Evelyn said.

" I just hope she doesn't take it too seriously", Antonio said as he wore his nightwear and layed on the king sized bed next to his wife.

"She'll get over it, don't you start worrying in the middle of the night. So let's get some shut eye ok", Evelyn said.

"Ok, Good night my love"
