THE TOXIC BOND

Love can conquer Evil, but what if your love is EVIL? A promise was made two years ago between the two broken souls...a promise of working on their imperfections and sharpening them to fit in each other perfectly. THE TOXIC DEAL was what clashed their destinies together. Life threw the thorns of secrets and betrayals in their way, yet they fought together. They won together! Parting their ways was their conscious choice with a hope of a better tomorrow. Their promise kept them going and battling their demons. But not all promises are meant to be kept! Bria Maxwell and Hayden King couldn't find their happy ending in the first book- THE TOXIC DEAL. Now it is time for the reunion, but are they ready to face each other after growing into two completely different persons? Is their love still strong enough to burn bright in the fire of desire? Or the willingness to fight for each other has already faded away? Join them in their further adventure that is grander, scarier, more thrilling and... more dangerous! ***** This is the second book of the 'TOXIC' series! BRIA

Before things got more heated, my mind came up with an idea. Joshua was about to retaliate when I jumped into the conversation.

"Officer, we want to see that day's CCTV footage. Now!"

Pindrop silence fell over everyone as they stared at me dumbfoundedly but as soon as my words made sense to them, half of them had brightened faces while the police officers looked a little apprehensive.

"The CCTV footage?"

"Yes! Now don't give us the lame reason of them not working." Joshua warned.

The officers looked conflicted, and again a silent conversation passed between them.

"Follow me." The officer who was dealing with us said before taking us to a smaller room where a man was sipping his coffee while sitting in front of a monitor.

He straightened up, seeing his senior.

"Show us the footage from last week." The officer passed him a note that had the date and time scribbled on it.
