Chapter 22 Public Library #4- Mystical Scripts

1st, Shravana, 1965

Ortson is now visiting the Public Library after a whole day of work, he opens the door and walks straight toward the librarian's counter.

As always Alya is sitting on her chair reading something under deep concentration.

Ortson stands in front of Alya and puts down the borrowed book on the counter.

"Miss Alya good afternoon. I am here to return the book I borrowed."

Alya puts down her book, nudges her glasses up on her nose, and greets Ortson with a soft smile on her face.

"Good afternoon to you too Mr. Ortson. Please provide your library card."

"Here you go."

Alya opens the library registry and registers the book returned by Ortson.

"Mr. Ortson your one-month time of free usage of the library has expired, from now on for the continued use of the public library you need to file for a monthly membership, which will only cost you 100₸."

"Yes, I will take the monthly membership."

Ortson pays for his monthly membership.

"So what are the advantages of monthly membership?"

"You can borrow up to 10 books at a time for a month."

"Thank you for your service, Miss. Alya. Today I came to research about commonly use mystic script."

"The commonly use magic scripts, are Apaoldarin, Ogloshi, and Mhuutari, these three scripts are used extensively in modern times."

"Is there any difference between them?"

"There are many mystic scripts specialized toward different attributes and systems of magic such as exorcism, element manipulation, transfiguration, auxiliary magic, divine fate, holy magic, and many others. But inside the tower Apaoldarin script is used for elemental manipulation, Ogloshi script is used for non-attribute magic, and Mhuutari script is used in exorcism."

"Thank you for the info, Miss. Alya."

Ortson leaves the counter and starts searching for a title from the bookshelves which can help him in his study.

'I need to study Ogloshi script.'

Ortson got interested in Ogloshi script because he has a mana affinity for non-attribute magic.

Ortson found many titles on Ogloshi Script.

"A, B, C of Ogloshi for dumb kids."

"Intermediate level- Ogloshi script."

"Advanced level- Ogloshi script."

Ortson picks up all three books and returns to the librarian's counter and puts them along with his library card in front of Alya.

"Miss Alya I want to borrow these three books."

Alya records them in the library register.

"Your registry is complete Mr. Ortson, you are free to take them home."

"Thank you Miss Alya, and can I come to you when I have a problem in my studies."

"Yes, Mr. Ortson you can come any time I am always here."

Ortson picks up his package and exits the Public Library and makes his way toward home.

Outside the library, the red moon and beautiful stars have adorned the night sky.
