Chapter 1 - Armageddon

It was a dark and tumultuous time in the world. Eris, the Goddess of Evil, had risen to power after the birth of her son, Xanthous, the God of Calamity and War. With a fierce and ruthless nature, Eris was determined to avenge the death of her brother, Ares, and began a campaign of destruction that wiped out most of Zeus's believers on earth.

As the world was plunged into chaos and darkness, the gods of Olympus watched in horror as their power and influence waned. Eris's thirst for vengeance knew no bounds, and she would stop at nothing to ensure the downfall of her enemies.

Even Harmonica, the Goddess of Harmony, was not spared from Eris's wrath. In a final act of desperation, Eris poisoned Harmonica, ensuring that the gods would now fear for their own immortality.

As the world was consumed by war and darkness, the people began to forget about the gods, only knowing fear, evil, and war. It seemed as though Armageddon had arrived, and there was no hope for the survival of humanity.

——

But Eris' reign did not last long, as she was consumed by her thirst for vengeance for the death of her brother, Ares. She began to unleash her fury on the remaining humans, causing widespread destruction and chaos. Xanthous, now God of Calamity and War, followed in his mother's footsteps as he grew up causing even more destruction with his powers. The world was in shambles, and there seemed to be no hope for the survival of humanity. Eris' thirst for vengeance had led to the end of the world as we knew it. The gods had fallen, nature had died, and humanity was on the brink of extinction. All because of the actions of one vengeful goddess.

But, soon Xanthous after becoming of age for a God began to grow bored and tired of having everything and nothing more then pain, lies, fear, and death entertain his siblings more then him. Surrounded by such evil leaving nothing beautiful stay alive for long began rebelling against his mother Eris. As he began neglecting his role and duty ultimately changing his way of his life little by little giving his mother a headache brushing it off as his adolescent tantrum.

All the mean while, Xanthous father Rudeus, a mere mortal whom Eris fell in love with passed away finally from old age. She along with him followed him after death as she left the World as well leaving the rest of humanity to her beloved spoiled son Xanthous.

Xanthos' rebellion against his mother caused a shift in the balance of power among the remainder Gods who followed Eris great order. With Eris out of the picture, Xanthous became the dominant force among the gods, but his actions were drastically different from those of his mother. He began to focus on preserving anything beautiful and peaceful rather than creating chaos and destruction, which his siblings and Phobos, who had always been jealous of his favoritism, began to resent him for it.

Many of the creatures and beings that Eris had created or manipulated were still causing chaos and destruction, Xanthous worked tirelessly to tame or kill them to bring them under his control. Finally, humanity had a bubble of peace after such apocalyptic event.

As time passed, seasons blended as there no longer was spring, winter, fall or summer. The rest of what was Society began to rebuild back shelters from the great disaster that took place. Humanity went on with their own as each God under the new Olympus order was established.

Limos Goddess of Starvation enjoyed this scene of having such weaklings dig the Earth for any edible food that might come up from it. She watched with amusement feeling that power of their hunger aid her power as she made circles with her finger in the air watching from a tree.

Not until her older brother, Ponos God of Hardship came behind her to spook her.

With a grunt and a smack to his shoulder, he boasted with laughter having such satisfaction to scare his little sister.

"You jerk! What was that for?!"

"What else? I'm just here to show some love to my little sister, can't I?"

With a frustrated groan, no longer feeling any fun watching mortals suffer. Limos turned from the wilted tree as she walked past her brother not caring for what his reasons for visiting her were. He began to follow after her as he had a amusing smirk across his face as he put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes, you could tell he was up to no good.

"What's got you so happy suddenly?"

Limos stopped walking as she turned to face her older brother who was a bit taller then her. He grinned with a malice toothy smile as his eyes filled with excitement.

"Guess what I found.."

"Uh, I don't know? A dead puppy?"

With a his quick dejected smile turning into a frown he peered down to his sister as he locked his gold eyes with hers. Which was one thing they all had in common, gold eyes and black hair like their mother.

"No Stupid, I found a interesting place that will peak your interest for a bit."

Intrigued now, Limos crossed her arms as she thought about her brothers proposition. It wouldn't be bad to at least hear him out.

"Go on.."

Feeling victory, Ponos leaned close as he cupped his hand around his mouth to make sure no one else but her ears would her the confidental information he was about to share.

"I found Demeter's Garden… the one from before Olympus fell and The Goddess of Spring disappeared…"

Limos eyes widened as she took a step back looking to see maybe Pseaudea had taught her "loving" brother some tricks to lie.

"I'm not lying if that's what your wondering about. It's real, I happen to find it today.."

"And does 'he' know about it as well?"

Both stood there quiet for a moment feeling the empty dry wind blow past them as they heard nothing.

"No, he doesn't know yet.. so if you want to see it and 'renovate' it a bit before he finds it.. let's go now.."

Mischievous and excitement filled Limos eyes as she agreed with Ponos and followed him on the direction twords the lost garden of Demeter.

______

Finally arriving at the location, Limos gold eyes widened as she was taken a back at the sight of this Oasis that managed to survive all these years with nothing feeding it water or clean air.

It was a beautiful sight as the place was filled with great big overgrown bushes and flowers were blossoming everywhere ones eye could see. With a combination of what they might have figured was "grass" as it towered just as high above her head. Ponos with a satisfied smile, placed his hands on his hips as he let out a long whistle as he looked up to see a tree peering over all the green and flower scenery around it.

"I guess you were right, you found something interesting indeed my dear idiot brother.."

"Not much of an idiot if I found it before Xanth-"

Limos lunged at her brother as she covered his mouth with her hand as he raised his eyebrow at her in annoyance.

"Quiet! Don't speak his name you idiot! Every time someone does it's like he appears afterwards!!"

She quickly looked around to see if maybe the person she was talking about had been summoned but saw no trace of him.. she sighed in relief as she let go of his stupid pie hole as she began her descent through the tall grass.

Ponos followed after his little sister as he smacked the grass away and breaking some branches that were in the way of him entering.

Finally arriving at the center of the garden. Which was more like a small forest. They reached a open area where the grass was short and the skies where blue… What they saw more interesting was that the tree that was peering over from the outside appeared to be much more taller and bigger then they expected.

In the middle stood the great big white oak tree as it reached so high almost as if it would reach the heavens. With great stature, the tree spread its branches just bas wide as it bared different colored of apples as each one held its perfect shape and quality not rotting or even showing a glimpse of it dropping.

Limos stared up as she and Ponos were amazed to see such a big tree. But snapping back to reality they remembered why they had came in the first place.

"That's one big tree… "

Ponos let out a comment as Limos chuckled.

"Well, it was nice seeing it. To bad it has to go…"

Limos approached the tree as she waved her hand over it and brushed her fingers over the trunk of the white bark. Ponos curious to what she was doing began to see a black aura emerge from her palm. The aura seeped into the tree as it shook the entire tree a bit as Limos stepped back.

"What did you do?.."

"Hm? I'm starving the tree from whatever source it's feed off it to rot. It should come tumbling down anytime now…"

The tree began to shake more vigorously as it began to shake the ground all together. Ponos was rubbing his hands together as he looked forward for this but suddenly the tree came to a holt as Limos and him looked at the tree dumbfounded that it was still up.

Spontaneously, two apples came dropping down from the tree as it hit both of their heads square on as they both sat on the ground rubbing their heads.

"Ouch! What happened?!? I thought you said the tree was supposed to falll??!"

"I don't know!! Maybe I didn't use enough power to completely starve it!"

Both of them began to stand up as they dusted themselves from the grass that clung to their clothes as a sudden voice spoke out. Freezing in their tracks, they turned slowly as they were greeted with a tall young man, with golden hair and bright gold eyes.

They both hissed as they knew it was over as they turned slowly to greet their dear "little brother".

"Hi, Xanthous.."

"Hi as well, Ponos. Limos."

Flicking at their name they bowed as expected of them as they greeted their hated sibling. Xanthous, God of Calamity and War, Ruler over the New Olympus their mother passed on the throne to him.
