"What is that?"
The vice president commented on what he was witnessing on the TV, and like everyone else, he too was oddly surprised.
"Sir, our aircraft have arrived at New York City's air."
According to the assistant, a Squad of F-35s had arrived at the city and are ready to engage, but the enormous blue sphere on the screen made him feel that something is off.
"No no, tell them to pull off."
"What Sir?"
"Pull off! Tell them to pull off!"
On one of the F-35s that was still heading toward the city despite the presence of the gigantic blue sphere, the pilot received the order from the radio in his cockpit to immediately cancel the operation and return to base.
"Mission Cancelled? The heck?" He said.
But just as he was about to change the course, the steadily approaching blue sphere struck his aircraft, cut the F-35 in half, and trapped the pilot inside the cockpit falling down from the sky with nowhere to escape.
"What the?!"
"Pull up! PULL UP!!"
Fearful of what happened to their captain, other F-35s instantly signaled each other to pull up into the air to avoid the sphere. Unfortunately, a pilot was too slow, and his aircraft collided head-on with the sphere.
"This is bad."
The sphere has finally covered the entire city, isolating everyone inside from going out, and outside from going in.

"What the hell?"
"Is that what I think it is?"
Returning to Neil's group, Chad heard an explosion and peered out the windows, where he was shocked to find something gradually engulfing the entire sky and dimming it.
"It looks like... Don't tell me... "
From what he said, it appears that he is familiar with what it is because he has regularly seen it in movies, especially science fiction. However as the field passed over their building, the armband on Neil's arm suddenly brighten.
"Guys?"
He got up and called everyone, but despite his expectations, few of them appeared to be interested because they were preoccupied with their own problems. Brent and his mates are chatting, Selena is with Jenny, who is not in the mood right now, and only Chad, Roy, Nick, and Mike are paying attention to him.
Chad approaches Neil and he hands him the armband as he notices the unusual blue light emitting from it. Chad gives the armband a puzzled look before pressing a random button on the metal armband.
Everyone's attention was finally drawn to the gadget as a blue spherical field suddenly appeared behind his back and expanded out from a hole in the armband, but Chad was the only one who was truly excited.
"Oh My God! This is a force field!! How- How do you get this?"
"I... don't know, I got this from one of the terrorists at the museum and-"
With enthusiasm and the urge to jump up, he grabbed the armband.
"This is impossible! These things can only exist in science fiction! Not at this kind of age!"
As he tries to touch it to see whether the field is real or not, the formerly empty space behind him has now changed into a solid, warm wall-like object.
"Oh my God! This is real! THIS IS REAL!!!"
"Shut up!"
When Chad's scream startled her, Jenny yelled.
"Sorry! Wait how about..."
While Neil quietly pressed the previous button to turn off the armband, Chad hurried toward the AK rifle. Curiously, he detached the weapon only to have his jaw drop at discovering what was within.
"Oh my god! This is a mini railgun!"
The AK rifle has two parallel metal rods inside that are attached to an energy source near the buttstock. There is also a system that enables the gun to auto-reload without the use of a gas tube or spring.
Aside from all the mechanisms that only Chad could comprehend, the rifle resembles the AK-47 but is different in terms of color and parts.
"Uhhh... so what does all of this mean?!" Roy asked and probably everyone else's question.
"Well, a railgun is a weapon that shoots projectiles at high speed using the electromagnetic force created with two metal rods putting paralle-"
"No one cares! Just get to the point!" Brent yelled.
Feeling he was going too far with his obsessions, Chad paused and took a breath.
"Ok so, it means, whoever created these devices or weapons, is probably a super genius that is born once in a thousand years or this is a super secret project in Area 51, or... he is from another planet."
...
Silent filled the room after Chad's shocking revelation, as everyone now knows that whatever started all of this, would change their world forever.
Even a while, no one decided to speak as they were all speechless at what they have listened to, everything seemed to continue to stay quiet until...
BEEP!!
The walkie-talkie that Neil carried with him suddenly went on; it began with a Beep and then after a continuous buzzing, a voice spoke up:
"Report! Report! We got fugitives. It was told that they are mostly kids with some adults coming with them."
"What the?"
"Shhh!!"
Nick cut Mike off fearing that the person using the Walkie-Talkie on the other end could hear him. Others followed suit and remained silent in order to hear the man.
"They attacked our men and escaped using our truck, and they took our weapons."
They still stayed silent.
"And even they could be listening to us through the walkie-talkie that they stole from us."
"Shit!"
"Shhh!!!!"
Mike's reaction was understandable; several of them were shocked that they were on the verge of making a noise. It was like wherever this man is, he could be looking straight at them.
"To the ones that are running from us, you will not be safe, we will hunt you down to the last one, we will kill every single one of your friends and comrades! And if anyone wants to follow us, you shall be treated with care and mercy, and for those who defy us, you will soon meet your death-"
The Walkie-Talkie was turned off by Neil. Everyone is now even more frightened because they came here for protection and rest, but now their fate is in danger once more.
Brent's eyes sparkled and his face was filled with plans and intrigue, though, as if he had finally discovered a way to get out of this—all by himself.
