The beast’s figure blurred, escaping my senses completely as the small hairs on my body stood on alarm and a cold shiver traveled down my back.
It felt as if all my senses had gone deaf and I felt a heavy sense of disassociation.
Staying calm, I focused on perceiving the intent behind the attack rather than relying on my senses to keep up with its movement.
‘There!’ I growled unconsciously, spinning back on my heel to catch a talon peeking out of its smoky figure with a fist covered in Shakti.
“Mountain!”
I discovered that covering my attack with Shakti was the only way to counter its elusive form of smoke, it seemed to follow different laws than Aeter...
BOOM!!!
Our strikes clashed, and dust flew as abundantly as ever, stirring up a storm.
My arm reeled back and so did the beast, before we both struck again and again.
