Cassina emerged from the cluster of trees at the outskirts of the settlement.
Trotting forward listlessly, she made her way into the heart of the settlement, burdened by worry.
‘How do I reach this boy...’ Cassina lamented, taking heavy steps as she ignored the energetic hubbub of her surroundings.
Blue birds sang, the winds cheered, and the sun shone brightly in glee. Children of all ages took to the simple dirt roads, playing carelessly as their innocent laughs reverberated throughout the settlement. All the while, adults watched on with gentle, wistful smiles and loving eyes.
“Good morning, Aunty!” the children cheered with beaming smiles.
“Good morning, Cass. How goes your day?” The adults waved leisurely.
Casual greets, and others full of life and excitement made their way to Cassina. The lively children were ecstatic to see their cool Aunt Cass, while the adults wore smiles in seeing an old friend and a former comrade.
