Issue #3-Chapter 4.1: Woman in Trouble, Part 2

We scanned our surroundings more once we made it to the end of the hall and found no place for me to change my clothes. We found nothing. Nothing at all.

We looked everywhere in this town without being spotted by the guards or people who saw us stealing something, and we still couldn't find it. Then we headed back to the hole without those three young people detecting us, and I changed my clothes there without Gideon there with me. I watched his clothes while he was going to get some shoes alone this time. I was getting worried there for the second, but now knowing Gideon had some powers, I relaxed a bit.

Once I got done though, Gideon arrived back home with a couple pair of some brown medieval shoes. He placed them on the floor. "Here, I stole these for you."

Loving those shoes already, I grabbed the shoes and grinned at Gideon. I wish I couple go there with him, yet we were both completely nude and didn't feel comfortable seeing each others privates. Plus, there were no such thing as undergarments in this world, which sucked compared to my old world. "Thanks, Gideon. I appreciate it."

"No problem," Gideon said as he turned around while I tied my shoelaces, entering into the hole to change his clothes. "And I'm going to search for job after you. And may the gods give you good luck on your job hunt."

Whoa, did he say, 'gods?' Is Basilia a pagan kingdom, huh? That would be interestin' indeed.

"Thanks, I will and good luck to you too."

"You too."

After Gideon and I waved at one another, I left him alone in his "house." I examined my outfit and I grinned at it.

Alright, not too shabby for a fantasy outfit. I look good in this. Sweet!

I turned to the plank.

Okay, Mike. Get ready to leave this bitch and begin to do some job huntin'.

I frowned at it for a moment.

'Cause I really don't want to be a homeless person forever.

I then studied my surroundings and headed my way towards the end of the alleyway. I took a look around again once I made it there, and saw no guard there.

Yet the same man selling some green apples still shouted about his products. I turned left to avoid him detecting me.

Alright, I better go search for a job this way then, huh, Mike? I can't imagine what would happen if he catches me.

I walked further, further and further, managing to avoid guards, especially the ones pursuing me, away from the area until I reached my satisfied location to find a job.

Great! Now our job searchin' begins!

So I began to scan for my surroundings and I couldn't find anything so far. I searched everywhere and I still struggled to find it. So I walked towards the wall and leaned back with my hands in my pickets.

Oh, great…my job searchin' so far was painful. I mean, black smith, shoe making, glassware…not the things I'm interested n'.

I put my head down to stare at the ground while people walked past me. Then my eyes spotted something. Hmm? There was a bronze coin lying on the ground near my foot, and no one seemed to notice it. I smiled at it.

Ah, I finally got me some money!

I picked up the coin and examined it. It featured a king's face on the front and some sort of large bird on the back. What an interesting coin to look at. I then placed it in my pocket.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?! Let go of me!" Young woman's voice cried.

"Huh?" I asked when I turned to the voice's direction.

"I don't think you're going anywhere, my pretty lady," a shady looking man said.

"Yea," his partner agreed when he and the shady looking man stood by a brunette woman leaning against the wall in the alleyway, not allowing her an opportunity to escape.

When I turned to the young woman, visions of the woman from my dream resurfaced my mind. I tried to snap myself out it, yet they kept reminding me. I wondered could she be the one who'll be captured someday?

After that, I took a look around my surroundings, I noticed that some people stand there and gaze at the scene, too scared to get involved, let alone help out. Why are the people standin' there not doing jack shit?! There were no guards around either which made me wonder where they were, before returning my attention to the scene.

Oh, man. This is bad. I need to do something quick. Who knows what they'll do to her if they keep it up at this rate.
