CH 26: Monster Awakens....

[Abyss].

Which was known by many people in different ways. Some known It as a

[Bottomless Pit],

[A Place Containing Human's Every Dark Desires and Nightmares],

[A Place of Forbidden Knowledge],

[A Gateway to Different Worlds],

[The Birthplace of all Monstrosity],

[The Birthplace of Seven Deadly Sins],

And some people even remember It as a [Hell]. But all of these were only just their assumptions. No one had any definite theory that what, when and who created It.

No matter who tried to explore It or understand It, they always met a very gruesome ending. Not even the higher beings like Gods could escaped from It.

And even If some of them somehow survived,, they were never in any state to live even their daily normally. Their mind completely devastated like saw something that couldn't even comprehend or something they should had never ever find out about.

But still as a miracle there were still few people who still had there mind safe but they were never the same as before. It was like they were whole another person.

After all of these happenings and as they say,

'Unknown is the Greatest Fear.'

Every living being began to fear the [Abyss], even without completely understanding what It actually is and for what purpose.

Even in this world, Gaia, where no one had any knowledge of anything about Abyss, began to show great hatred and fear towards It after being attacked by a monster calling himself an [Abyss King].

It was because no one could ever forget the horrifying things that [Abyss King] had done. It's army consists of thousands of horrifying creatures that made one wonder how such abominations could even exists, who all came from [Abyss].

Wherever they go they only left complete destruction behind without showing any mercy to any child, women, elder, animals, monster and even plants.

So many lives were lost just to defeat that army and just to seal the [Abyss King] but It also didn't go without a fight, It also took many God's lives who were trying to seal It.

From all these anyone could guess that [Abyss] was anything but a peaceful place and anything from there was nothing sane and safe.

Kai who had lived, who knows how many years in [Abyss] was also anything but sane and knowing this Kai had sealed most of his memories in the [Abyss] so that he could regress his mind to a acceptable level in human standards.

When Kai had run towards Arthur, when he was doing that 'flashy move', Kai's purpose was just to inflict enough injury that was neither to shallow but also not deep.

At least just to stop Arthur, and take him as a hostage so he could strike a conversation with them.

It was not a best idea to do to talk with them but It was most better plan that Kai could thought of right know.

There was no way that they would listen to him when they had already thought of me as an enemy and his current appearance was something that none of them could recognize at all.

Normally there was no need to even talk or negotiate with them but It involved a personal reason of Kai.

Anyways, Just when Kai was about to strike a huge pressure was exerted on him from the Arthur.

Arthur in his anger had send too much force in his attack that It was know emitting excessive force in the form of a pressure on Kai to stop making him move.

And strangely this was all being done by Arthur unintentionally, even he didn't knew why Kai had slowed down. It was like the world or luck itself was supporting Arthur.

But this situation immediately caused Kai to be in a very dangerous situation that If he doesn't do anything immediately he would die.

Kai was slowed down due to the pressure that he now could not reach Arthur on time. He had to do immediately something otherwise he would die here.

Thus in that split second Kai had to made the decision to cut Arthur's arms to stop that attack by using the length of his Katana overcome the distance between them.

There was the option to made a shallow cut on Arthur's arms or his body but that wouldn't had completely stopped the incoming attack, So Kai had no choice to do It.

This would cause his plan to talk go completely down but It wouldn't matter anyway If he die here.

But this was not the most biggest problem here. Kai had actually underestimated the effect that [Abyss] had on him.

After cutting both arms of Arthur and stopping his attack, the blood from the bisected arms began to gush out staining the ground with blood and few drops even fell on Kai.

And here It was that 'It' happened. Because of being close to Arthur, Kai was enveloped by the metallic smell of blood and because of having enhanced super body, Kai was able to smell the blood much clearly than the average humans.

And this caused reaction inside Kai's mind, It was like a switch was flipped. Just like how hungry beast goes into frenzy just by smelling a small amount of blood.

Now Kai's mind was filled with ecstasy like he was on some kind of drug. Right now Kai had became a single minded creature who just wanted to kill everyone and everything in front of him just so he could spread this smell of blood everywhere and envelope himself with It too.

And this caused to form a creepy smile to form his face. It was like a child who had found his long awaited game that he wanted to play so much.
