Chapter 13

While the school checked the scores of the test takers and prepared for the physical examination, the trio of Kai, Angela and Nathan waited for another three days in the city.

They are currently in their hotel room preparing to go out.

"The physical test is finally starting! It's so boring here, there's too many people in the streets that walking around them is such a chore." - Nathan

"Maybe that's a sign for you to not shop everyday," Kai replied while his focus is still on the book in front of him.

"I would be even more bored if I just stay here all day, unlike you who can stay in a library for a day without eating or sleeping. Don't you ever get bored with just staring at texts all day?" - Nathan

Kai didn't bother replying to Nathan, because for him the answer is already obvious, he doesn't, which made Nathan roll his eyes at him. The room is then filled with silence with no one bothering to make a noise.

After a few minutes of silence, the bathroom door opened and Angela stepped out of it. "What happened? Why are you guys so quiet?"

"Nothing, we just don't have anything more to talk about." - Kai

"Yeah, and I'm getting mentally ready for the physical test." - Nathan

"Okay, Nathan can I borrow your hair dryer? Because of you two, I don't have enough time to dry my hair before going out," Angela said while pointing at the two of them a bit angrily.

"It's your fault not ours, how can you forget that tomorrow is the physical exam, so you still trained a bit late and wake up late," Nathan berated Angela while giving her, his hair dryer.

"Then why didn't you guys wake me up earlier?" Angela said, still upset.

"Because we're not your alarm clock, princess, at least we still woke you up for you to not be late." - Kai

"Argh, okay it's my fault, I don't really wanna be late so let's go now," Angela finally conceded and whistled to get Skye's attention, when Skye arrived at Angela, she made her perch at her shoulder.

Nathan also called Onyx and hid her at his sleeves, while Kai took his remote control and made the Floating Pot with Fleur in it float beside him.

The trio then walked out of their hotel room and went towards the school again. After a few minutes of walking, they entered the school gate and joined the other test takers in the disorderly field below a stage in front of them.

After a few more minutes, in the specific time that the school arranged the test, the entrance gate was closed and whoever is still outside wasn't allowed to get in anymore. When Angela saw that, she shivered, imagining herself on the exact same position as the other people outside the gates.

"The Diamond Academy is so punctual, I'm glad you two woke me up, I'm sorry about what I said earlier." - Angela

"It's okay, though I would have liked a more appropriate apology than that," Nathan said, what he meant by an apology is her joining him for a day of shopping.

When Angela heard that, she shivered once more, even though she's a girl she hated shopping. She is a very impatient person, so joining Nathan in his shopping sprees, while waiting for him while he's buying things is a torture. However, she is also the type of person who pays her debts, so she forced herself to still nod, even though she knows she will regret it.

"Oh! I also need an apology, buy me Sacred Water enough to fill my Floating Pot, except for the Life Water in my Floating Pot, I didn't bring any more with me, the money used to buy it would be mine" Kai also asked for something. When Angela heard him her eye twitched, but she still nodded her head.

Sacred Water is water that can only be found in Sacred Spots. Sacred Spots are places that have abundant attributed Magic Power. They are sought after by beast masters, because of how many resources can be obtained from them. Beast masters that have the same attribute as the Sacred Spot can also meditate more effectively and advance faster. Sacred Spots also have grades based on how abundant the Magic Power in them are: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Kai's house, which was still designated as the Sanctuary isn't considered a Sacred Spot, even though the Magic Power inside is more abundant than normal.

The Sacred Water that Kai is asking is water from Water attributed Sacred Spots, it is the most common resource found inside Water attributed Sacred Spots. Even though the Sacred Water that Kai is asking is Sacred Water from Common grade Sacred Spots, it is still a bit hard to find, it would take about 1 hour just to find them. The reason Angela's eyes twitched is that, she knew that Kai is just being lazy again and doesn't wanna go out of his way to look for it, sacrificing his reading time.

Kai asked for Sacred Water, because Fleur can turn it into Life Water faster than normal water and the resulting Life Water will also be more potent. Kai actually graded the Life Water that Fleur produces: Unranked, Iron, Bronze and Elite. The Life Water that he is currently carrying is the most potent and oldest Life Water Fleur can currently produce, Iron grade Life Water. It can easily heal any injuries Unranked people have or prolong the life of severely injured people for an hour, it can also heal the injuries of Iron ranked people easily. However, Iron ranked Life Water is not that effective when it comes to healing Bronze or higher ranked beasts and beast tamers.

After a few more minutes of chatting and waiting, a loud noise sounded out. When they turned to look at it, they saw the stage full of white mist. The mist then suddenly disappeared and two figures appeared on the stage. A very beautiful black haired girl and a tiny elephant with 3 pairs of wings, flying gracefully.

"Did I get your attention? First of all, welcome to Diamond Academy!"
