Ren read the scroll and then burned his answer in the scroll with a quick application of chakra control and fire nature chakra. According to his clones' memories, both Hokage-sama and the sannin warned him to stay away from Ame. Ren looked out the window and the constant rain that was pouring down on the dark city and sighed.

'I would have liked a little more information than that but it doesn't really make a difference now. First I need to lay low...'

Time passed and while the world slowly moved in a direction away from the original timeline, Ren was doing pushups in his room. The information that his clone had provided was running through his mind as he worked his muscles.

One thing that Ren was sure of was that Amegakure was a lot different than Konoha. The only reason he probably wasn't targeted right now was because his skills as a medic were a lot more important than he thought.

'I need to send info about these S-Ranks popping around like a rat infestation. Who would have thought that a small village like Ame would have 3 S-Rank shinobi who would spearhead a welcome party for little old me.' Ren thought. He stared at the notifications that he got earlier that day.

Akatsuki, a possible mysterious organization that was working in the shadows. The 3 S-Rank shinobi likely were its members and they needed this kind of strength to capture the Bijuu's. He still wasn't sure what its purpose was and to be honest he hadn't signed up for anything. 

But somehow his powers were telling him that he was now a member of this mysterious organization. With nothing else to do Ren could only focus on increasing his strength, at the very least with the number of level-ups he had gathered as a safety net he could pump all these stats into his DEX to increase his speed which would increase his chances of survival.

'200 was the limit where Jonin level speed starts right, so Kage or S-Tier should be 300. To be able to evenly match against these level 100 opponents I need to have both INT and DEX at 200.' Ren thought as he grimaced, he couldn't see himself approaching that level anytime soon. 

If these stats were converted into levels then he needed 200 stats so around 40 levels. His accumulated experience is nowhere near enough to deal with this situation. To always have more options and exp for a level-up top-up. Ren hadn't actually collected a lot of quest rewards.

'This would be a good time to collect all the exp I could get...'

Ren opened his quest block and started going through the quests. Quests were quite rare and he had 3 completed quests that he never completely settled. The 100,000 EXP that the quest associated with his wave mission was enough for him to restore his chakra in case of an emergency before but now when Ren looked at the 1 million EXP that he needed to get to the next level it wasn't enough.

While operating as a bounty hunter in the past week, Ren had managed to kill 4 low-level Jonin as well. Like Sora, his first target their level hovered between level 50-55.

Ren realized that the differentiating level was 50. Below level 50 everyone was classified as a chunin and below level 25 a genin. Classifications given by villages didn't matter. Ren opened his inventory and looked inside. He had 4 bodies stored and if he took reference to the amount of Exp he got from Zabuza. Each one of them was worth around 5 million Exp.

Ren was hesitating whether he should extract these bounties when a masked man floated out of the floor in front of him. He instantly dodged back and used chakra to stick to the wall. There were several things alarming about him.

First was the fact that he was literally floating out of the floor, only half of his body was above the ground and somehow he was alive and moving. Second, he could sense the chakra flowing into his eyes, so he either had a Sharingan or a Byakugan, and considering his name Ren was betting on the former. Third was his shining red name and the fact that somehow he had two different chakra signatures in his body.

"Hello, you must be Ren. Tobi is pleased to meet you!" the masked man spoke as he waved his arm comically. 

Ren was a little spooked as he stared at the massive difference in Obito's level and his actions. He looked comical with the way his arms moved.

"Uhh..." Ren stuttered a little, he was at a loss as to what he wanted to say.

"Shh!" Tobi shushed loudly, "Don't make a fuss, Tobi isn't supposed to talk to you during your probation period. But Tobi wanted to meet his future partner!" 

Ren absentmindedly nodded allowing Tobi to monologue, worst case scenario he would gain no information from this encounter. But he was sure that this Tobi likely had an agenda.

"I know, Konan is making a fuss but I know you would pass this probationary period." Tobi nodded at his own comment, before he grabbed his forehead in horror as he exclaimed, "Ah, Tobi forgot. Tobi was supposed to send someone to take you to your new office." Tobi exclaimed as he flew towards Ren.

Ren tried to dodge but he was far slower than Tobi, his hand clamped onto Ren's shoulder and he could feel the whole reality shifting as in a blink, he was standing in an alley.

"Go into the office next door, Tobi has got to go. Tobi will come to meet you later when everyone is asleep." Tobi spoke like a fright train before he jumped and his body collapsed into itself.

Ren looked around at the alley he was in and the empty area he was in. He had been helpless a lot of times in his life. But not like he did a few moments ago and in the span of a day, he had been at the mercy of external forces 2 times now.

He looked at the building next to him and walked. He didn't know what Akatsuki was planning but he was sure he was about to be used. What he now had to figure out was how to gain some benefits in this situation.
