C14. Match Fixed

The True Dragon competition is held out every year throughout the Azure kingdom. The purpose of this competition was to find a worthy heir to the household. Not only that the winner of the competition also becomes the successor of the patriarch position. The successor can change every year if he doesn't manage to win every single year though it happened rarely. The successor will become the patriarch when the predecessor patriarch steps down from his position or some other misfortune happened to him.

Elder Lin's grandson, Kai An was the winner of the True Dragon competition for the last three years.

The Patriarch of the Dragon claw clan didn't plan to punish Kai Chen as the elder of the Chain Ho clan warned him personally to not punish Kai Chen. He didn't have the guts to go against the elder of the most powerful clan in the kingdom, that's why he suggested the true dragon competition.

Also, the Kai Wei is one of the pillars of the Dragon claw clan, he couldn't afford to lose him as it would be too devastating for his clan.

He planned to fix a match and let Kai Chen win an easy victory so he could escape getting punished and the elders also not feel offended.

"Chen'er why did you purpose of hosting the competition?" Finally, Kai Feng quickly stand up from his chair and supported his s to sit on a chair.

"Father don't worry about it I won it once and I can do it a second time too." Kai Chen said with confidence. But Kai Feng's heart was still unrest. How could he not worry about his injured son?

"Forget about that, father I need someone to go to the medicine palace for an important task. But I need someone trustworthy." Kai Chen said with a serious face.

"What is it? Is it related to Chain Hai's daughter?" Kai Feng understood the seriousness and said in low voice.

"No father this task is only related to me." Kai Chen said as he showed the note to his father.

"Chen'er what...is this?" Kai Feng didn't believe whether what he was seeing was true or not. The note contained the different usage of some herbs. However, there were also weird diagrams drawn on the note. He couldn't comprehend what it was as he was not someone with an alchemy background.

"Father, I want you to send someone to go medicine palace and give them this note and I will briefly explain to you what task it is." Kai Chen explained everything to his father.
