Kara Danvers had dealt with a lot of weird in her twenty-six years of living.
She'd somehow wound up on this very specific planet which gave her superpowers after her home planet exploded.
She'd seen the horrendously healthy things Lena Luthor eats for lunch (always a green pile of leaves and Kara is about ninety-nine percent sure they're from the park nearby (but she loves her anyway)).
She'd seen some video footage taken from when the blonde had last gotten drunk which was not a pretty sight, (though Lena doth protest).
She'd also observed her dear best friend Winn make heart-eyes at her poor — definitely taken — cousin, Clark Kent. It was definitely quite something.
Watching Sara Lance tear up the dance floor with her break dancing was also another thing (and wow was she good).
And lastly, (for now as it would take at least forty-three years to list all of the weird stuff she's seen) she fought some weird purple blob the other day which then proceeded to explode all over her and the poor sofa in Catco's break room. The once cream-coloured sofa would never be the same.
Weird stuff happened everyday when you're Kara Danvers, and today was no different.
The hero was leant against a closed cubicle door which had an 'out of order' sign which she swore had been there for the past two years (Winn complained about it a lot). Her sister was sat on the closed toilet seat in the other cubicle with the door open, munching on a powdered donut, grumbling about what life had become for her.
J'onn was pacing around the bathroom — which really was not that big so it was more of a two-step shuffle — with his arms crossed, and Winn was leaning against the worn, white tiles on the wall, hunched over his tablet while muttering about some science-y stuff.
It was a very odd sight. Two badass government agents, a super smart nerd, and a superhero in the men's bathroom on the seventh floor of a poorly disguised skyscraper (the building apparently sold AstroTurf as a cover) waiting for some stupid portal from god-knows-where to show up.
"Pass me another donut," her sister's voice muttered from the cubicle and Kara passed her the box she was holding, receiving a 'thanks' in return.
Kara ran a hand through her blonde waves and sighed. The boredom was starting to get to her. "Can you predict when it'll next fla— Woah!"
A brilliant swirl of different shades of blue almost swallowed her up as it appeared suddenly right in her face. They all stared at it intently, and even Alex came out of her cubicle, all expecting it to disappear again but it seemed it was very adamant about staying this time.
Winn furrowed his dark brows in concentration as his fingers flew over the screen of the tablet, punching in a bunch of commands.
"It's definitely stabilising..." As soon as those words left his mouth, a blue armour-clad arm poked through the blue void, waving at them. It then formed a fist, looking like it expected a fist bump which Winn hesitantly delivered. The hand then gave a thumbs up and disappeared back through the stormy void.
Definitely weird.
Alex quickly drew her gun and Kara tensed up, pushing her cape behind in a readied stance, just in case some horrendous blue monster were to pounce and eat them all. Winn however, was opening and closing his mouth like a fish.
"T-That's... th-thats..." he stuttered out before Alex smacked him gently on the back of his head.
"That's what? What is it Schott?!"
"That was a Power Ranger..." he whispered.
Kara relaxed and burst out laughing along with Alex who quickly followed. Even J'onn had a slight smile on his face.
"Guys I'm not kidding! Me and Cisco have been trading geek stuff and their earth has the newest movie!"
"The Power Rangers... that's— that's so funny!"
"Fucking Power Rangers?! Wow Winn, that's a good one."

"As if Supergirl really does exist on some parallel earth," Zack Taylor punched Trini Gomez's shoulder playfully, "but I bet you're hoping so just because you find her super attractive."
The Yellow Ranger groaned and rolled her eyes before closed her locker door. "Shut up."
"Speaking of super attractive..." Zack wiggled his eyebrows and nodded in the direction of the ever-beautiful Pink Ranger strolling down the corridor towards them.
For once, Zack Taylor was right about something. Trini had to consciously keep her jaw from hitting the floor every single time she saw the taller girl who had completely stolen her heart.
This crush wasn't going to end well.
Before, they were complete strangers, with Kim being the popular cheerleader (now ex) and Trini being the eternal weird new kid due to her family's constant moving about.
Then Kim decided to push her off a cliff which then led to all that Power Ranger drama and an unlikely bond had formed between the band of misfits, but most importantly, the aforementioned weird kid and the ex cheerleader. Sure, they had a slightly bumpy start but soon enough they quickly became best friends.
Trini had to constantly remind herself that whenever her heart decided to go into cardiac arrest due to the Pink Ranger.
Sure, everyone knew Kim was bisexual but the chances of Kim actually returning these feelings to a very specific person — herself — were about as likely as Supergirl's very fictional dimension existing.
"Hey Trini! Zack!" Kimberly's voice snapped her out of her train of not-very-platonic thoughts and was greeted with a bright smile.
She felt her stomach flip and her heart do things it definitely shouldn't be doing around her best friend. Trini just stared at the gorgeous human being in front of her, and Zack had to nudge her lightly for her to say something.
"H-hey Kim." Trini internally face-palmed at the weird strangled sound she had just produced. Quickly clearing her throat she quickly added, "Are you ready to go?"
"Yep! Come on!" The Pink Ranger grabbed her hand and led her down the corridor but not without hearing Zack pout and shout 'but what about my hand?' while waving his arms around, garnering the attention of confused onlookers.
The team had decided to meet in the ship after school to test out a new dimension-travelling gadget Billy had cleverly engineered.
If someone were to prove the multiverse theory to be true, it'd definitely be Billy.
The three walked into the school's car park with Kim and Trini's fingers still laced in a comfortable silence.
Kind of.
Zack had decided he would make kissing faces and gesture at the pair with a giddy smile whenever Trini glanced at him (often received with a roll of the eyes from the Yellow Ranger).
The three started to head off towards the mines in a jog once they were out, and Trini tried not to freak out about the fact that Kim was holding her hand not ten minutes ago.
"Hand holding huh?" Zack smiled as he fell into the same pace as Trini. He didn't speak too loudly as to not let the Pink Ranger overhear since she was only slightly ahead. Trini's face was red (and not from the exercise).
