"Why don't you move in with me? The house is too big for just one person and you'd be able to save on rent."
Dominic did not know why he made this offer when he had only known Sharon for just two days. It might seem a little too early to invite someone to live with him but after he blurted those words, a sliver of hope sprung in his heart.
He wasn't even aware of how compliant he had been when he was with Sandra. He had always deferred to her and hardly voiced his own opinions.
Yet, he was completely different when he was with Sharon. He was the one who made the decisions and she would seek his opinion each time.
What man wouldn't have a bit of masculine pride? Who wouldn't want to be the focus of a woman's attention? This was why Sharon's actions and words appealed to him and he instinctively wanted to be with her.
"Would that be ... alright?" Sharon asked hesitantly.
She felt very excited in spite of her words. If she could move in with Dominic, she would be able to seek his protection.
She didn't care whether Dominic would step out of line. In fact, she even had the intention of seducing him.
After all, she was just a woman! Everyone would go through this one day.
She had been very opinionated ever since she was a child. She was the campus belle from high school all the way to college and had many admirers, including some of the campus hunks and sons of wealthy families, but she had turned them all down.
In other words, she had no dating experience. She had a clear goal in mind. If she just wanted to find an ordinary man to spend the rest of her life with, she didn't mind dating as many men as she wanted.
But this was not what she wanted. She wanted to realize her own value, and change her destiny and that of her family. For those who would be able to help her realize her value in the future, someone who was used goods and someone who wasn't would make a world of difference.
This was why she had no dating experience, because she had been waiting for this day. Dominic was the key to helping her realize her value, so as long as she managed to win his favor, she wouldn't have to climb all the way to the very top; just the first step would be enough.
She had never imagined marrying into an ultra-wealthy family like Dominic's, as his family would usually arrange for him to marry someone of equal status.
She had a clear idea of where she stood in this world. Since this was what she had set her mind to do, she would not think about marriage at all.
Dominic's invitation for her to move in with him was such a pleasant and unexpected surprise that she didn't know how to react.
"What's wrong? The house is too big for me to live alone in any case, so I would welcome someone to speak to. If you have a boyfriend, you may ignore my offer. I wouldn't want to cause any unnecessary misunderstandings," he added.
"Of course not! What are you talking about? Dominic, you may think it's funny but I've never dated in my life. I was just wondering if I would be imposing on you," Sharon quickly added, hoping that he wouldn't get the wrong idea.
'She has never dated? Impossible!' Dominic thought.
Nonetheless, he said, "You wouldn't be imposing on me. I'd enjoy some company and this is too much space for me to live in alone. if you don't mind, I will also invite a few friends on campus to move in as well."
"If that's the case, I'd like to extend my thanks. Shall I move in tomorrow?"
"That's a deal. Do you need any help?"
"No worries, I'll be fine. I don't have much in any way.
"Alright then! Feel free to look around and choose your room. You may choose any room on this floor. My room is just one floor above. You may choose to stay on the same floor but remember to lock the door at night," Dominic said with a teasing tone.
"Dominic.. I'll leave the door unlocked even if I choose to stay on this floor. You may enter anytime you wish," Sharon said flirtatiously.
'She's a little minx.' Dominic thought.
"Sharon, didn't you want to go swimming with me? Feel free to do so anytime in the future. There's a pool upstairs."
"Sure! Shall we go for a swim now?" she asked coquettishly.
"Ahem.. never mind. Let's do it some other time!"
Dominic felt that he wasn't Sharon's match at all and the sexy way she was half-sprawled showed that she was a natural seductress. If he continued flirting with her, he felt that something else altogether would get hard.
Sharon rose to her feet and walked up to him before bending over and whispering softly in his ear, "Don't forget to issue an invite anytime you want to go for a swim! I've already bought my swimwear but haven't found anyone to appreciate it!"
Dominic felt himself grow hot all over and he resisted the urge to have his way with her as he rose to his feet.
"Sharon, feel free to look around. Uh... I'll head upstairs to get something and we'll head back to the hotel in a bit."
Dominic scrambled for an excuse, red-faced. He could barely hold himself together and suddenly, he realized that inviting Sharon to move in with him was a mistake. How would he be able to resist her charms if he had to face her on a daily basis? Wouldn't that be a fate worse than death?
Sharon couldn't help but laugh and thought that Dominic was really adorable.
She could deduce that Dominic was probably a virgin. Who would believe that someone from an ultra-rich family like Dominic could be a virgin?
'Is Dominic unable to get it up? No way. If this were true, where would my advantage lie? How would I be able to earn his favor? ... No, that can't be true,' she silently repeated after herself.
Dominic would have probably had her right there and then if he had any idea of her thoughts. 'How dare you suspect me of being unable to get it up? That's way too insulting. I'll let you experience what it feels like to be able to do it nine times in a night.'
He climbed up to the top floor and entered his bedroom.
He flung her on the large, luxurious bed. He had come upstairs to avoid Sharon for he found her too seductive. He was unable to resist her charms, but he wasn't turned off by her at all. He dug out his phone and tapped into his WhatsApp.
He saw that there were more than a hundred comments on his post yesterday of the night scene by the river.
He browsed through several of them and saw that these comments were mainly sarcastic remarks.
He only replied to those who were on good terms with him but he didn't disclose that he had bought a house in this district. No one would believe him anyway.
When he checked his chats, he saw that he had several unread messages.
Jessie had wished him good morning.
Another message was from his cousin, his aunt's eldest daughter, Lily. She was two years younger than him and was in her first year of college in another city. They were pretty close. He had lived with his aunt during his first two years of high school and only moved in with his other aunt when he had been in his final year of high school.
His final year of high school had been more stressful and his aunt had a playful son who was interfering with his studies, so he had moved out to live with another aunt who only had a daughter who was two years older and had already graduated.
Lily's text read, "Dominic, where did you take this photo? It looks gorgeous!"
Dominic typed a response to her.
He replied, "I took this photo in Jtown. Feel free to make a trip during your school holidays. I'll show you around."
She quickly replied, "Are you serious? You'd better not be joking!"
Dominic replied, "Of course I'm serious. When have I ever lied?"
Lily replied, "Great, we've got a deal. I'll pop by during school breaks."
Dominic replied, "Okay."
Lily informed him, "Dominic, I'm now a live streamer. Remember to support me when you've got time!"
Dominic replied, "Kiddo, you even know how to hold a live stream now?"
Lily retorted, "Dominic, how dare you? My roommates are all livestreamers. It's fun and we're able to earn some extra money on the side."
Dominic replied, "Sure, I'll have a look tonight and help you increase your popularity count."
Lily replied, "Of course. Dominic, are you still working part-time? I've earned more than 460 dollars last month and my mother gave me another 230 bucks. Give me a minute, I'll transfer 300 over to you! Remember to take Sandra out for a good meal."
Dominic was touched by her gesture. They had hardly spoken after he had moved out during his second year of high school, but they were still really close.
Dominic replied, "It's okay. Use the money to buy some delicious food or a nice dress for yourself! I'll give you a surprise when you visit Jtown during your holidays."
Lily asked, "What kind of surprise?"
Dominic replied, "That's a secret!"
Lily declared, "You're such a tease! Alright then, I'm off to class. Speak soon. Bye!"
Dominic signed off as well. "Bye."
It wasn't long until he saw that she had transferred 300 dollars to him. After giving it some thought, he decided to accept her gesture.
'I'll give you presents valued at a thousand or even ten thousand times more than what you've given me tonight,' he thought.
Dominic decided it was about time to head downstairs, and so he went downstairs and tossed a set of keys to Sharon.
He had to stick to his word now that he had issued the invite. After all, he could always move out if he could no longer resist the temptation. Buying another house was not a problem. He didn't have much but what he did have was money.
In his opinion, men and women shouldn't fool around unless they were in a relationship. He had to take responsibility for his actions.
They got ready to return to the Golden Leaf Hotel together.
