Section 3 Ball's Price

Location: At Suraj's apartment door. Time: 10 o'clock, Sunday Morning.

Bell rang.  Avinash the champion performer was at the door with others. It was not a regular thing that the colleagues of Suraj throng at his door. Suraj inwardly has decided to see only the positive. He smiled. His smile is quite like laughing- with open mouth and teeth showing. His eyes gave out the ray of happiness. His whole face lit up. His curled hair seemed to dance with his jovial countenance.

"What! Aren't you going to play?" Avinash gave a wide grin.

"Sure." Suraj looked around everybody.

"Give twenty rupees."

"I have already contributed." Suraj gave an entirely non-threatening frown.

Avinash was a bit annoyed, "It is the price of the ball."

Suraj could have asked if he is the one to pay the full amount for the ball, but he didn't. At once he went to the cabinet in the inside room and brought the money.

"Get ready and come." They went away without him. They had got what they came for.

A little later Suraj reached the field and saw everybody in position, the fielders, Avinash the batsman before the wicket and the bowler.
