Chapter 20: Adventure Begin

It's a fine morning today, Ray has wake up early as usual. He already prepare the tea to serve his friends that will come to his home today. His father who saw him prepared the tea ask if there is a guest coming.

Ray told his father Ryo and Zed will be coming today so he prepared some tea, Seeing Ray happy also make his father happy. His father then excuse himself because he have something to do on their garden.

"Yo you're early today"

"Haha, I just want to introduce you to them, That is why I call them today"

"I see are okay with that, I mean Zed is a vampire right?"

Of couse Ray must find a way to explain thing, He also prepare to tell them his secret. Well the voice can't do anything about that if Ray is prepare to tell them he will cooperate with him.

"Well if that is your wish I will cooperate with you, You know you're special right?"

"But I don't want to lose them I'm afraid they will leave me when they know the truth"

"Ray remember this real friends will accept you for who you are and the fake one will leave using your specialty as an excuse. Trust them"

"I don't know you're the kind to give advice hahaha"

"It can't be help because you've been down sinsce you wake up"

They chat for about 30 minutes, Ray seems to enjoy the conversation with the voice. Soon after that, His friends finally arrive at his house. Ray immediately greet them and invite them in.

"Finally you guys are here, Come in I have prepared some tea for you guys, I know you guys are tired"

"Hahaha okay that is very nice of you"

They sit at the couch while Ray serving them the tea, They had a small conversation before they go the main topic. Ray gather his courage just to tell them the truth. His fist are clench tight.

"Guys the truth is"

"Huh?"

Ray start to explain from A to Z about he is a hybrid breed of zombie and vampire. Suprisingly Ryo and Zed didn't even surprise and their expression just like "oh okay so"

After done explaining to his friends, He cry tears dropping from his eye, Ryo and Zed confuse, They don't know what have they done. But instead of asking why they comfort Ray, After taking some time figuring out what is happening, They realize why Ray has no friends.

"So you thought that we will leave you? Why would we? Is it wrong to be friends with you?"

"Thanks guys"

The voice also has something to say to Ray.

"See real friends stay, The fake one will leave"

Ray feel relieve, But he still got one more thing to tell them, It's about the voice inside his head, Before he begin he ask the voice permission to reveal about his existence.

"Sure go ahead"

"Guys do you believe that I have a voice that always talking with me?"

"What are you talking about Ray?"

It seems that they didn't believe Ray, So Ray connect the voice through telepathy with them.

"Hello Ryo and Zed"

Their expression change from calm to cautious they even ready to attack at any time. But Ray told them to calm down, After they calm a bit Ray start to explain everything about the voice and how they're connected.

"I see so that's the entity that defeated Hartz, But who is he actually"

"Hehe I see vampire boy is curious about me, Then I will tell you everything"

So the voice start to explain everything, His name is Tezz and he is the former vampire king, He's now dead or to be precise he's now on the eternal sleep. But his soul is being transferred to Ray's body by his mother.

At first he didn't want to stay with Ray but Ray's mother said, One day this kid will become the strongest person. Since that day Tezz has been watching Ray for a long time. What he found that Ray is a lonely kid, Plus he is a hybrid breed.

So Tezz will stay with him and lend him his power when Ray is qualified, Tezz also told them about the incident about Hartz subordinates were harassing a female zombie.

"I see so is Ray qualified to use your power?"

Zed curiosity move him to ask the question.

"Unfortunately no, Not for now but in the future who knows?"

He start to explain why Ray is not qualifed to inherit his power. He said Ray body is still weak if he try to inherit his power Ray might die because of the overwhelming power that enter his body. So for now what Tezz can do is take over Ray's body and defetat the enemy as soon as possible.

He can only maintain for around 10 minutes, Over then that Ray body will start to taking damage over and over again until his heart stop beating. Tezz also tell them to always train. Ray also need to train his body until he's ready to inherit the power.

"I see, You're amazing Ray!"

Ray smiled, But that's not all Tezz also tell them they has a potential to become stronger. But for now they are not strong enough to face the greater danger.

"Zed I heard you want to overthrow the current vampire king, Is that true?"

"Yes"

"I see, But at your current level i suggest you to train more because vampire king is not just a title."

"Thanks Tezz I will keep that in mind"

After a long conversation they decide to depart now, Before that Ray excuse himself to his father first. His father also remind him to not cause a commotion in the other place.

"Alright guys let's move"

They depart, As for now they only had a used weapon. Then Ray suggest they go to dwarf kingdom first to find some weapon. Zed and Ryo agree with him and start to headed towards the Dwarf kingdom.

It takes about 1 day to reach Dwarf kingdom from the Claude kingdom. So they had a plenty of time to rest. But before they could reach the Dwarf kingdom they must pass the rocky mountain.

Ray's father had warn him before they depart, So they must be careful not to alert the bandit. Ray told Ryo and Zed to always be careful. After an hour of walking they decide to camp on some place on the forest.

Fortunately it's close to the river, They can drink and even take a bath. As for dinner they can catch some fish on the driver or hunt a deer in the forest. But Ray decide to just catch the fish on the river.

"You just need a wooden made spear"

"Shut up Ray, Huh I want to eat a deer"

"Ryo it will be dark in a few hour let's catch some fish while we can see the fish"

Ray use his sword to carve the spear, Now they can start thrusting a fish with a spear. Unfortunately Ryo is not a patient guy he thrust his spear blindly, Ray told him to calm down or the fish will run away from their place.

"Watch me"

As Ray approach the fish Ryo feel something is wrong he didn't feel Ray presence at all but Ray is in front of him, Then is just a split second Ray caught the fish.

"Woah that's fast how did you do it"

"You just need to conceal your presence by controling your breathing, The faster you breath the more likely the fish will notice your presence"

It's hard to believe but Ray execute it perfectly, Ryo try to do it and of course first attempt is not a success he tries again and again. Until the 30th attempthe finally got a grasp of it.

On the other side Zed only take five attempt to master it, Zed is truly talented. Of course Ray only need 2 attempt to master it but he don't bother telling them about that.

It's finally dark now they can enjoy their meal. But before they eat Ray ask Ryo to use his clan specialty skill to detect if there is an enemy or beast. Ryo then cast tracking and he found out something.

"What it is Ryo?"

"I think it is..."

"God damn just tell us"

"It's just a deer hehe"

Ryo got beaten by Ray and Zed after that, But it's a relieve that they are not enemy but just to be sure Ray cast the tracking skill and expand more than Ryo. But he found something a strong aura and it's approaching.

"Zed be prepare something is coming"

"You not joking right?"

"No something is coming towards us"

The entity is approaching them slowly but suddenly the entity go faster and faster. In a few second the entity appear, Ray and Zed immediately strike the entity but they feel no bloodlust from the entity and stop their strike.

"Who are you?"

"I can explain please don't hurt me"
