Chapter 11:Investigation Team ll

"So we have arrive at the HQ, take your time here"

So they finally arrive on The Shadow HQ, it's a two floors building and a tight security, Ray and his friends can't hold the admiration, it's their first time seeing a well mannaged building.

"So are you guys enjoying your scenery?"

"I wish I could work here one day" oops it slips through Zed mouth

"We will support you Zed if you want to join" Ray with his words

"Haha if you interested in my investigation team you can come here of course you will get a privilege card to enter our HQ, okay enough with chat, lets head in."

After a small coversation they are going inside the HQ, all the officer bow down to the chief as he walk through the entrance, they all really respect their chief.

They finally reach a room "so so guys can stay here I will personally ask you guys about the incident."

They only nod and the chief excuse himself and exit the room. They stare each other and suddenly laugh.

"A good way to releease some tension huh"

"Agree haha"

zed only nod but it's only for a second they start to talk about what happened, actually Ray already know what happened thanks to the voice inside his head.

"Guys actually I know what has happened but I afraid to tell you guys, but did i actually kill Hartz?"

Ray seems down, he's still in recovery status so Zed and Ryo knows they can't let Ray down.

"It's true Ray but don't think too much about it, you just want to protect us because of our foolishness we let our guard down and let you step in to save us"

sobbing he can't hold his tears, the most quiet one among them Zed finally spoke.

"Zed it's okay don't cry, you haven't done anything wrong, you just want to save me and I really appreaciate it thanks Zed."

He can't no longer hold his tears, tears dropping and Ray stroke Zed's hair to comfort him.

"There, there don't cry" while stoking Zed's hair

The chief have return and bring 3 cup of coffee, Zed finally calm and he try to hide his tears.

"Here have a drink" the chief offer them a coffee

They acccept the chief and start to take a sip, but Ryo can't stand a hot drinks, he'll wait until the drinks become less hot so he can take a sip too.

Seeing Ryo like that also make the chief laugh didn't know that Ryo who is the one who can't stand hot drinks.

"Ok then shall we continue our conversation, what happened to you guys"

"Actually we just want to enjoy our holiday but something unexpected happened" Ray reply

"Tell me then"

Ray start to explain what happened during their holiday, he start from the encounter Hartz subordinate, He told the chief that they want to harras a female zombie and charge in to stop them.

He didn't expect the thugs are Hartz subordinate, he beat them but didn't kill them.

On the next few weeks the Claude Academy has announced that they will have a holiday, So he decided to help his father but Ryo and Zed came to fetch him on his home.

They had so much fun and Ray even challenge the number 1 fighter on The arena, soon after that they decide to hang out at Zed's tree house.

They had fun evening until Hartz came to find Ray, when he found Ray he didnt spare any minute and attack them, so they didn't have any choice but to defend themselves.

Hartz is not stupid he came with his subordinates, he only had a grudge with Ray so he don't mind about his friends. So the fight is inevitable, Hartz use dirty trick to provoke Ray.

Ray lost in rage, he attack recklessly without a strategy and they end up with an exchange. His friends finally finished their fight and want to help Ray but they end up get in Ray's way.

"The next I know I already in the hospital, so what happened to Hartz?" actually Ray already know what happened, but he didn't want them to know about the voice in his head.

"Sadly he's dead, he die in gruesome way his head explode I don't know who beat him that's why I want to ask you" the chief reply with a disappointed tone.

Ray look at his friends, he felt guilty for not telling the truth to the chief, Ryo nods, Ray turn his head towards Zed and give Ray a thumbs up. So they agree to tell chief the truth.

"Well the truth is I was the one who defeat Hartz" Ray calmly confess,

The chief eye widen, he know something strange about Ray but he didn't expect that Ray is the one who defeat Hartz.

"Listen Ray is it true you defeat Hartz?"

"Yeah well"

"I see you should be careful, you know Hartz is not the big boss, the current vampire king is the big boss of that group, we can't fight the vampire king because he possess a king's aura"

"Don't worry I'm the one who is going to defeat that bastard" Zed finally speak because the chief mention the vampire king.

The chief didn't believe Zed say that with confidence, of course the chief wouldn't believe Ray because he don't know Zed also possess a king's aura.

"Then if you mind I will show you something" Zed reply with a scary grin

Ryo and Ray swallow their saliva seeing zed behave that way.

"Then it will be my pleasu-" before the chief finished his sentence he already kneel on the ground.

'What a strong aura' that's the thought that appears on the chief head, he try to resist but he can't. He feel like he's carrying a mountain on his back.

After a few second, Zed finally release his aura and of course it doesn't effect Ray because he also possess a king's aura. But it is a different story for Ryo, he fainted.

"I see that's why you are so eager to fight the vampire king but that aura is still weak compare to the vampire king, you should train more" a statement from chief it's like he had fought the vampire king before.

"Who are you actually?" the question come from Zed mouth.

"Nothing special just a chief of investigation team" calm reply from the chief.

"You're lying" Zed hasn't give up

"Ah hahaha alright I will tell you but not here let's go, your job here is done let me once again send you guys home"

They finally done with the investigation and the chief willingly send them home but somethng awaits them ahead.
