With his dual blades in hand, Gareth glared at James with such intensity that the wind began to blow intensely. He assumed a defensive stance and closely observed James' every movement, who was standing with a carefree smug expression.

"Are you coming to me, or am I going to you?" James snickered.

"Why you little!" Gareth replied, seething with anger.

Swoosh!

Gareth instantly appeared above James and swung his blades down upon, only to watch them collide against a red barrier. Dread entered his heart as his eyes landed upon James' smile.

"Damage Reflection," James mumbled.

Before Gareth could move in time, the red barrier shined brightly and shot a blast of mana at him, forceful launching him away and against a tree. He couldn't even open his eyes before he felt James' Kanabo collide against his side, touching the previous layers of barrier along his side.

"Damage Amplification."
