She sighed in relief and made her way out of the theater, closing the door behind her as she turned back around and began heading down the alleyway, deciding to walk home since the weather is finally starting to warm up. Before leaving, however, she stops abruptly and looks down at Hiroto, noticing how peaceful he looked while asleep. She frowned slightly, looking down at him before glancing at the camera hanging in the alleyway. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly, tilting her head to the side as she pondered what to do.
"...Should I..." Her eyes drift down to where Hiroto lay in her arms and she bites her bottom lip slightly. Should she...? Would he even respond if she did?
She looks back down at him before sighing softly, shaking her head lightly, and turning around, beginning to make her way home. She'd think more about it tomorrow.
Chapter 14
Ria's brow twitches slightly as she glances away from the video game console in her hands. "Geez, how do you lose like, four times in a row?!" she groans in frustration as she throws the controller aside angrily.
Hiroto laughs quietly and sets his controller aside before standing up, stretching slightly. "I dunno." He walks over to where she sits before bending downto pick up her controller and set it on the floor before grabbing his own controller and sitting on the couch.
She rolls her eyes in annoyance and turns her head to look at him. "How can you keep losing like that!?" she exclaims in exasperation, throwing her hands up as she slumps slightly against the couch.
He shrugs before replying, "It's not my fault."
She snorts loudly before glaring at him. "It is your fault!" she snaps, shooting daggers at him.
He scoffs softly. "Whatever. You can beat me later if you really wanna try."
She gives him a deadpanned stare before sighing heavily and shaking her head. "Ugh! Fine. Just don't laugh at me when I beat you."
He raises an eyebrow curiously but doesn't say anything as he turns his attention back to the game console before starting it up. "Fine by me. Though, you might not even beat me." He pauses and glances at her before smirking slightly. "Though, maybe I'll beat you first." He pauses and chuckles before glancing away from the screen.
Ria lets out a huff in irritation before narrowing her eyes slightly and narrowing her eyebrows at him. "Don't push it."
He smirks slightly and shrugs casually. "Alright."He pauses before continuing the game. As he does, Ria begins to play.
Half an hour has passed before either one of them speaks. Neither one of them wants to speak first.
Ria is playing a game on the screen when she suddenly starts to frown as her character gets hit on the head repeatedly by an enemy, causing her to growl in anger and glare at the screen.
Hiroto glances at her momentarily, smiling slightly at the sight of her. He watches as she continues to curse underneath her breath. He raises an eyebrow before he turns back to the game, continuing to play it. He isn't paying attention to the screen. Instead, he's focused solely on watching Ria, who's now getting annoyed with her opponent. He shakes his head slightly to himself and chuckles slightly before shaking his head and refocusing on the game in front of him.
Ria watches her character die multiple times before she suddenly gasps loudly. He immediately turns to her, curious. "Oi, what's wrong?"
Ria stands up from the couch suddenly, running over to him quickly. She grabs onto him tightly before holding her breath as she looks at him pleadingly, tears forming in her eyes, and says hurriedly, "Hiroto..!"
"Huh?" He pauses, blinking in confusion.
