Grrarrrgghh, grrarrrgghh!~
Just as Ning was thinking about cleaning the maggot juice off of her dirty paws, several strange gurgling voices sounded as they became louder and more apparent in her ears.
It was the noise of the zombies!
'No way...' Ning was frightened and subconsciously retreated, 'Those shredded rags, dirty, smelly old shoes, they are zombies alright.'
She didn't expect that in just a short time; when she got sidetracked, several zombies had already started to surround her hiding place. While hiding below what seemed to be a truck, her body trembled from fear as she could see the zombies' stinky feet.
'Could it be that they know that I'm here? But how? I was so careful and didn't make any sound...' Ning was puzzled. It never crossed her mind that these zombies would have such capabilities.
'Could it be they can sense me with some zombie superpower? Well, that seems logical...'
This road doesn't have many zombies, about fifty or so, and most of them were heading in Ning's direction, if not already surround the truck at the moment.
Thinking for a moment, Ning discovered that their walking speed was slow and sluggish.
'There is my chance!' Ning thought, then, she quietly escaped and speedily ran to the next car upon discerning several wide gaps between the zombies.
'Haha, too fast for you, losers!'
Later, she turned around and looked back at the zombies with an egotistical face, but only to see that they were already accelerating toward her direction.
The zombies aren't fast but quite powerful. In no time, their bare bodies slam against the car. Following the dull banging sounds, the whole vehicle trembled. Just as the car was about to be knocked over, Ning started to run away on her short legs.
She didn't dare to delay any longer.
After running nonstop for almost thirty minutes, Ning was finally able to shake off the swarm of zombies as she heaved a sigh of relief.
The whole escape thing was a harrowing experience, as more zombies would be attracted wherever she went. It was as if they had a high-tech dog detector or something.
Along the way, she doesn't dare to walk into any narrowed space as it would game over if she were trapped.
'Woohoo—Finally, it's over. I felt as if my limbs would be falling off at any second now.' After Ning calmed down, she soon found herself inside a convenience store.
Her puppy eyes lit up in excitement.
'Wow~ there are many kinds of stuff here. I'm surprised!'
