Chapter 20: Level 2!
Soon, Ning composed herself and left the alleyway, looking for potential prey.
Level 1 zombies are rare.
Ning made a few rounds nearby the surrounding area for nearly 5 hours and encountered various zombies, which she used the skill Observation to inspect them every time.
With each level 1 zombie killed, Ning would gain one experience.
And as time passed, her experience bar was gradually filling up at a steady pace.
'Slowly but surely.'

Unknowingly, the tenth zombie fell onto the ground—Ning's puppy body flashed with golden light, boosting her to level 2.
At that moment, Ning could feel her body strengthened, all of her attributes had increased by 1 point, and she gained another three additional attribute points.
The cold voice ringed in her mind.
<You have level up!>
"Woof! Woof!" (Finally, hahaha!)
Jumping around in celebration, Ning quickly opened her status and distributed the additional attribute points, 1 point to intelligent and 2 for Magic.

After Ning leveled up, the experience required for the next level increased by two times, but she wasn't worried.
The level-up just now has fully restored both her HP and MP. Thus Ning had no intention to stop here but continue with the grind.
Now that her strength has increased significantly, Ning is confident of defeating a level 2 zombie. Besides, after observing the various zombies for these past hours, Ning felt that perhaps a level 3 zombie wouldn't be much of a problem if she were careful while fighting.
Before leaving, however, Ning used three system points and exchanged them for the skill <Scratch> in the system shop, thinking that it was cheap and could be of some use later.
Although she has enough system point to exchange for the skill <Bite>, Ning decides against it as she wouldn't want to bite into the zombie's rotten flesh.
But seriously, who would?

Compared to level 1 zombies, level 2 zombies are much more common hence.
In a matter of minutes, Ning had already found her next prey. It was wandering with several other zombies under the shade of a tall apartment building.

Despite being outnumbered, Ning didn't use the previous tactic to lure them away. With 4 points in agility, she was confident in her speed. Strong-minded, she took one step forward and silently snuck up behind one of the level 2 zombies.
As if able to detect her presence, the zombies let out multiple low cries and attacked her with their mouths wide open and sharp nails.
'So I was discovered again... Do these guys have an aggro range or something?' Failed in her attempt at a sneak attack, Ning contemplated whether to upgrade her Observation skill.
But as the zombie quickly got within the striking range of her attack, Ning used her skill.
'Fireball!'
The additional points in Magic weren't as simple as one plus one. When the fireball exploded, it completely blasted the level 2 zombie's head into bits.
