After eating all the leftover tuna, Ning's tummy was filled to the brim, round and chubby.
Now, she could barely walk properly.
'This is too much ah. There are still so many meats left, and I can't eat anymore.' Laying on her back, Ning looked blankly at the ceiling and complained.
Then, she turned and glimpsed at the leftover canned meats with great intensity.
She was rather sad.
Since the invaders already opened them, these meats would probably be spoiled tomorrow morning.
It would be a waste as she couldn't eat them.
'Well, there is nothing I can do. Maybe I will try to eat some more later tonight. Yiya!'
Struggled on her feet, Ning looked at the door leading to the back of the store.
It was wide open at the moment.
Initially, when Ning first came here, she had already discovered it. However, at that time, it was blocked. Thus she didn't pay much attention to the door, but now that it was opened, she was greatly curious to explore what was behind it.
After all, this place is now officially her house!
'It's time for adventure!'
...
At the back of the convenience store was the storage room with many empty cardboard boxes all over the place.
After searching around for some time, Ning soon found herself stood in front of what seems to be a freezer room.
Out of everything else, this place was the most interesting one. Even though the electricity was no longer working, there was a lingering coldness coming from inside.
'How mysterious.'
Walking back and forth, Ning sifted around with caution before peaked her little head inside. She scanned its interior before her eye settled on a corpse.
It was the corpse of a dead zombie with its face rotten and eyes popped out of its sockets.
'How classic! It's certainly hideous.' Ning walked closer to the rotten corpse with small steps.
It was only a dead zombie, so she wasn't afraid.
She was brave!
What she was most concerned about was the small hole on the zombie's forehead. It greatly resembled a bullet hole, but there were pieces of ice in the mix. Moreover, the spot the zombies leaned against seemed to be frozen.
'Is this done by that black-haired guy? He was the last one leaving the store after all.' Ning was sure that she guessed correctly.
Since the ice still hadn't melted, this could only mean it was the work of the humans she saw earlier.
'Kukuku—haha hahaha!'
'Just as I suspected, there is real magic in this world. How wonderful!'
To think what the magic she very much wished was a reality, how could Ning not be happy? Ning was excited and started jumping around the room.
Only a long while later did she finally calmed down.
After thinking for a moment, Ning searched around the zombie's body, hoping to find something useful.
However, she wasn't too optimistic with this thought since if there were anything good, those humans wouldn't leave it behind until her turn.
'Wait a minute—there is something!'
