like this one." Mark spoke, pointing at the cat in the kennel. They were at a nearby rescue, looking around for their 'perfect match'.

Eleanora smiled, bending down to press her fingers up to the kennel bars to let the cat sniff them. "Hi, pretty baby!" She cooed, watching as the cat started to rub against her fingertips. It was a smaller, pure black cat that had to have only been a year or so old, and the little name tag on the kennel read "Josie".

Mark smiled as Eleanora pet Josie, crouching down beside her. He offered the cat his own fingers, Josie's purrs growing louder as she started to rub against him.

"I think she likes you, too." Eleanora teased, leaning a bit on her boyfriend.

"Of course she does. All women are captivated by my charm." He joked, Eleanora rolling her eyes. She pressed a kiss to his lips, a grin on her own. She looked back at Josie, nodding her head.

"She's perfect."

a bit to the side when Derek settled beside her, Eleanora flashed her friend a smile before focusing back on the Chief. They were standing in front of the OR Board, Mark standing beside Webber with a few papers in his hands. The Chief was explaining to them the new computer model that would schedule the surgeries, and most of the doctors were a little grumpy.

"And to make sure this was the right decision, I have enlisted one of our own to do a trial run for the last month. Dr. Sloan." The Chief nods towards Mark, giving Eleanora's boyfriend the floor.

Eleanora giggles at his face, all serious and sales-man like, but she tries to cover it with a cough, trying to put on a neutral face. Derek crosses his arms, raising an unimpressed brow as everyone listened to Mark.

"I know what you're all thinking. It's a machine, it doesn't know me, doesn't know what I like. But after using this new system for the past month, I gotta say, people, I'm a convert." Mark tells them, Eleanora shaking her head.

Derek steps forward, the look on his face making another giggle pass Eleanora's lips. Bailey swats at the back of her head, Eleanora quieting down but not letting the bright grin on her face disappear.

"You're horrible." Bailey tells her, shaking her head. "Can't even pretend to keep it together when your boyfriend is giving a speech. Pathetic." However, the small smirk on Bailey's face goes against her serious tone.

"This computer," Mark continues, nodding his head, "knows me better than know me."

"Chief, this thing has rearranged my schedule for the entire week." Derek points out, his tone a little whiny. Eleanora shakes her head again, but Bailey is the only one to let out a little snort. Derek turns to face everyone else, raising his voice a bit so everyone can hear. "I mean, haven't we had enough change here already?"

Murmurs break out in agreement, but the Chief is quick to shut it down. "Change is good, everyone. Embrace it." Webber then leaves, the group dispersing a bit.

Mark and Derek walk over to join Bailey and Eleanora, Cristina tagging along seeing as she was on Derek's service. Mark settles behind his girlfriend, leaning on the desk and setting the papers down. Eleanora is quick in taking them, going over the reports with an interested look on her face.

"You two need to stop bickering," Bailey told Derek, pointing between him and the Chief before starting to walk off, "it's unattractive."

"Good speech?" Mark asks Eleanora, resting his chin on her shoulder. "My charisma shine through?"

"Yes, you were charismatic." She assured him, flipping to another page. "But you do know how to properly type up reports. Jesus, Mark, did you pass your English GenEds?"

Mark gave a playful growl, taking the papers from her. "That is just rude, especially coming from the mother of my child."

Derek and Cristina both stare at them in shock, Cristina's voice coming out pitchy. "Mother of your ?"

Eleanora smacks at his shoulder, Mark laughing as he stepped out of her way. Her face was a little red when she turned to then, shaking her head furiously. "Not a human child. W-we adopted a cat! I am not-"

"Pregnant with a Sloan Spawn?" Derek finished, his face a little pale. "Good. I don't think I can handle that much change at the moment. Let's go, you two. We have patients to see."

Eleanora nodded, pressing a kiss to Mark's lips before following behind Derek and Cristina. Mark grins, but it slowly fades as he focuses on his report.

"Were they really that bad?"

______

over Marks shoulder as she looks at the scans of a large tumor, Eleanora listens to her boyfriend speak to Derek,  keeping her awe-struck eyes on the complicated tumor in front of her.

"You know what this is about, right?" Mark asked, Derek humming in response. "You're no longer Daddy's favorite so you've gone in search of some crazy ass tumor to get his love back." Mark hands the scan to Cristina, who yanks it away with a glare. She was not pleased with Mark's attitude, wanting to already be working on the tumor.

Eleanora pouted when the scan was torn away, moving around Mark to look at the scan that now rested in Cristina's hands. It was Isaac's tumor, one of the hospitals X-Ray Techs. She liked Isaac, had spoken to him many times and even considered him to be a friend. So not only did this tumor inspire confidence in her because of how it was, it inspired confidence in her because she wanted to save Isaac.

"Actually, it's about my patient. I haven't made up my mind yet. I'm just looking." Derek told Mark, staring at the computer scans.

Callie walks into the room, her face one of disbelief. "Isaac has a cord tumor?"

"Oh, it's awesome. Look!" Cristina tells her roommate, turning the scan around. Eleanora lets out a huff, smacking at Cristina's shoulder as Callie walks forward to look over it.

"Stop offering up the scans to everyone! It's scan and I want to look at it!"

"Awesome in a bad way. It's eaten five levels of his spine." Callie says, ignoring Eleanora and Cristina's little squabble as she starts looking over the scans. Eleanora nods, looking over at it.
