excitedly skips down the hall, fixing the collar of her lab coat with a bright smile. She notices Meredith and Cristina, running over to meet up with them as they turned the corner of the lobby.

"Is it up yet?"

"Don't know yet." Cristina responded, shrugging. "I have a valve replacement today. replacement. Altman just had to shut up and watch. I hope I get a good OR."

"I have a ventricular shunt." Eleanora added, giving a happy sigh. "I love ventricular shunts."

Meredith snorted, Eleanora's eyes going over to her. "But you know what I love more? Aneurysms. I'm still mad you beat me at Rock Paper Scissors."

"You always go with paper on the last one." Meredith shrugged. Alex pops in behind the three, voice excited.

"Is it up yet?"

"No, not yet." Eleanora spoke, leaning on the desk to watch Cristina fill out paperwork. Alex focuses on Meredith, shifting on his feet.

"Hey, you hear about Zola?"

"I haven't heard anything." Meredith informs him, the four residents starting to head to the OR Board. Eleanora frowned a bit, looking over at her tall, blonde friend.

"And she's clipping her first aneurysm." Cristina scoffed, Eleanora pouting a bit. "Are you sure you don't want to start with something simpler?"

"Like a ventricular shunt? I'm okay with taking the aneurysm, Mer. No shame in dropping out." Eleanora tried again. Meredith sent her a look before focusing forward, shaking her head.

"Yeah, or like juggling chainsaws." Alex joked, taking a sip of his coffee. Meredith sent him an annoyed look, huffing.

"Oh, thanks. That's helping."

As the four slowly make their way through the lobby, they run into April and Jackson. They all perk up at the sight of their Chief Resident, knowing she is in charge of putting the OR Board schedule up.

"Is it up yet?" They all ask, April nodding before motioning down the hall.

"It's going up now."

Eleanora practically books it down the hall, an excited squeal leaving her lips. Her friends are quick in following her, Jackson and Cristina soon picking up speed to match up with her.

Eleanora stops in front of the board, her excited eyes trailing over the list of names. She finds hers and grins, fist pumping the air. "OR 1! Beat that."

"It's not a competition." Alex grumbled, and Eleanora sent him a toothy grin.

"Then why are you upset...." she glanced at the board, her eyes lighting up, "....OR 2?"

Everyone chuckled a bit as Eleanora settled in beside them, everyone reading over the schedule for the day. April furrowed her brows, glancing over at Alex.

"Wait. Bowel Resection? I thought you had a Peds case?"

"I switched last minute." Alex respond, putting his hands on his hips. Eleanora furrowed her brows but stayed silent, instead reading through everyone else's schedules.

"You can't just switch!"

"Oh, Mark only has a Rhinoplasty and a burn removal today." She tilts her head, crossing her arms. "Maybe I can con him into making me a celebratory dinner."

At the mention of the plastic surgeons name, Cristina looks for other surgeries, snorting when she sees Jackson's name.

"Oh, Plastics. I thought you were the Gunther. Wasting all your capital on boob jobs, huh?" Cristina teased Jackson. Eleanora sighed, closing her eyes.

She hated when people had biases against Plastic Surgery. She had always been iffy on surgical bias from the very beginning, but once she and Mark got together and she saw first hand just how hard he worked and how absolutely talented he was, she hated it even more.

"It's a cleft lip." Jackson snores, rolling his eyes. "I'm changing a kids life today. Look at Kepner. She's fixing a bum knee. Way to shoot for the stars, kid!"

"And I have a ventricular shunt! All by myself, no Derek. Just me, a brain, and a shunt." Eleanora sighed out happily. Cristina snorted and Jackson just shook his head with a smile. April shook her head before moving to stand in front of the small group, reading over the clipboard in her hands.

"Okay, guys. Um, you also start teaching skills labs today. I made up a schedule for the month. It's up on the board in my office."

Everyone's heads swiveled over to the redhead at those words. Eleanora's face turned intrigued, narrowing her eyes a bit.

"An office? For ?"

leads everyone into her office, Eleanora letting out a happy sigh at the sight of a couch and chair. She automatically flew to the couch and plopped down on it, getting comfortable and closing her eyes.

"Good nap spot, April!"

"When did we get this?" Cristina asks excitedly, Meredith letting out awe-filled sighs and Jackson whistling.

"Uh, didn't. It's for the Chief Resident, actually."

Alex moves over to look at the couch, nodding with an impressed look. "This is good. I can sleep on this."

"No, it's mine now." Eleanora stated, opening one eye to glare up at him. "I have twin boys at home. I get nap privileges at work."

Alex huffed and picked her feet up before flopping down. Eleanora pouts, curling her feet into herself as she closed her eyes again.
