six interns stood in Chief Webber's office, in a line. The Chief was silently staring at them, obviously waiting for one of them to admit to cutting the wire.

Eleanora stood between Alex and Cristina, not moving her eyesight from one of the picture frames on the Chief's desk. It was quiet and tense, until Izzie spoke up.

"I cut the LVAD wire."

Eleanora didn't even flinch when Meredith, George, and an annoyed Cristina all agreed. She could feel eyes on her, and felt her skin start to crawl.

Did they really expect her to throw herself under the bus? Izzie almost killed Denny, and risked all of their careers so she wouldn't have to do it alone?

Alex spoke up for her instead, letting out a scoff. "We didn't do anything, we are completely innocent."

"Alex!" Meredith scolded, Izzie just huffing and rolling her eyes.

" I wasn't even here. He I wasn't here. And Eleanora already told Dr. Bailey she was in the room because Izzie tricked her to stay in there and she was going to call the code if nobody else would! You think he doesn't know that? The guy's not mentally challenged!"

"That's not the point." George let out an angry laugh, turning to look at Alex. He let his eyes fall to Eleanora's face, his face falling. "It's about loyalty."

"And we made an agreement!" Cristina hissed, Alex snapping back at her.

Everyone started yelling at one another, Eleanora closing her eyes and letting out a sigh. The Chief let them continue for a bit, and then interrupted them all. His voice was stern and angry, but Eleanora knew that he didn't really to be doing this.

"People! I know who did this. So, you might as well come clean. I ."

George stepped forward slightly. "With all due respect, sir, if you knew, we wouldn't be here."

"You have your suspicions, but you don't actually know." Meredith butted in. George nodded towards her, focusing back on the Chief, who was growing more and more frustrated with each passing moment.

"And you can't do anything to any of us without proof, sir."

Webber shot up, slamming his hands on his desk. Everyone took a small step back, Eleanora wincing and turning her head to rest on Alex's arm.

"Well, of you compromised a patient's life! of you stole an organ. jeopardized the integrity of this hospital and of UNOS. Now, you tell me, and you tell me "

Everyone went silent again, Izzie smirking softly to herself. The Chief raised a brow and then sat down, nodding his head.

"All right, fine. No surgeries."

This caused Eleanora's head to snap up, her eyes widening slightly. She felt Alex stiffen, and she looked at the Chief with hurt eyes.

"S-sir?" Cristina stuttered out, not believing what she was hearing.

"You heard what I said. No surgeries. No one scrubs in, no one watches from the gallery, no one so much as goes the OR floor! Until someone confesses, the six of you will share a single patient: Camille Travis. Whatever she wants, the six of you will provide it! she wants. Now, get the hell out of my sight!"

______

will go back and tell him. I will tell him it was me." Izzie argued, all of the interns standing in the lobby.

Alex's arm was around Eleanora's middle, holding her into his side securely. They normally weren't much into public displays of affection, only ever holding hands now and again and sharing kisses. They weren't this touchy where patients or their families could see.

However, with the Denny incident, Alex just knew Eleanora wasn't okay. Every single time Eleanora has been upset in the past, she would always seek out comfort and affection from him. So, he just came to the conclusion that he would give her the attention and affection before she had to search for it.

"And get kicked out of the program? You will keep your mouth shut. We all will keep our mouths shut." Meredith stated, looking at the rest of her friends with a stern look.

Alex scoffed, rolling his eyes. "This is crap. I'm turning her in."

Meredith let out a gasp, Cristina and George rolling their eyes. "Alex!"

"What?!" He demanded, looking at them all like they were stupid. "You were the one who said we had to stand by Izzie, but now I get stuck catering some V.I.P. chick patient? I don't think so."

Izzie spoke out to Alex, taking a small step towards him. "Alex, I am sorry and I really do appreciate what you did for Denny."

Eleanora's head snapped up, her eyes narrowing at Izzie. She had been silent all day, not really acknowledging anyone but Alex. "You take a step back, and don't talk to us unless it has to do with our patient. Got it?"

Izzie raised a brow, scoffing. "Us? You two are one person now? Please, I-"

Alex interrupted her, his voice harsher. "Oh, shut up. Look, the only reason I lied to Burke is because I wanted in on that transplant surgery. I don't care about Denny and I hope you get thrown out on your ass."

Eleanora let her eyes leave Izzie once she saw the blondes face fall, looking over at Cristina and Meredith. Alex continued, pulling Eleanora slightly behind him. "And yeah, Eleanora and I are an '. So if she says don't speak to us, ."

It was quiet for a moment before George cleared his throat, trying to break the tension between the six. "We can handle this. Camille Travis is a kid with cancer. So, we give her whatever she wants for a couple days. How hard can that be?"

"Harder than you may think."

The six jumped to attention at Dr. Bailey's voice, Alex letting go of Eleanora's waist. She moved her hand into his, both of them not wanting to get yelled at by their resident, but still not wanting to let go.
