a heart wasn't available, I opted to continue with Roy Henley's lung transplant." Teddy speaks into the mic at the front of the room. Eleanora leans back in her seat, leaning her head on Meredith's shoulder as she closes her eyes.

They were in an M&M for Teddy and Cristina's ex-patient. The same Cristina who quit last week and had refused to talk about anything her quitting her job.

"It's all in your head." April whispers to Jackson, but Eleanora and Meredith can still both hear, seeing as April wasn't very good at whispering. Jackson turned to her, his whisper level not any better.

"My name isn't on the OR board, I checked the schedule. Nobody wants to work with me, 'cause I'm not on anybody's service."

"It's an oversight, okay? Just....just ask around."

"Do you know how many things I've screwed up in the last month?" Jackson hissed. Meredith finally grew tired and she leaned forward, taking Eleanora with her. The smaller girl let out a small whine, moving to lean back in her chair as she listened to her friends.

"Stop it! I'm serious. Just ask around and get on someone's service and get back to work." Meredith told Jackson with a stern tone. Eleanora nodded in agreement, leaning her head back.

Meredith smacked at her legs to get her attention, and Eleanora looked up to see Alex in a messed up suit trying to get in the row. Eleanora let out a sigh and moved her legs up so he could pass, her nose scrunching up when he passed and sat down on the other side of her.

"Alex, you stink." Eleanora told him, moving her hand to cover her nose, gagging a bit. Alex grumbled, rubbing his forehead. Meredith looked at him in slight disgust, too.

"You smell like you're sweating booze. Where have you been?" Jackson looked back at Meredith question, snorting.

"I want the weekend you had."

"What happens in Vegas, you know?" Alex answered. Eleanora felt bile rise in her throat and she moved her hand in front of her mouth, practically crawling over Meredith.

"Gonna throw up." She got out, running up the aisle and bursting out of the auditorium. Her friends all turned and watched her with raised brows, them turning back to the front.

Meredith snorted, poking at Alex. "You made her vomit. Didn't think that would happen again after you two broke up."

Jackson and April spun around at that, eyes wide. April was the one to speak, voice squeaky. "You and dated?"

"Intern year. I don't feel like talking about it."  Alex told them, aggravation on his face. Jackson smirked, nudging April.

"Bet Sloan doesn't either."

Meredith and April giggled at that one, Alex throwing him a look before focusing on his friend beside him. "Hey, who's Stark? I'm supposed to be on Stark's service today."

"Oh, me, too! He's the new Peds Attending, since Robbins left." April tells him. Alex groans, sliding down in his seat.

"Crap. I can't handle a bunch of sick kids today. I can't do it."

April was quiet for a moment, biting the inside of her lip as she glanced back at Alex. "So, was it a bachelor party, or-"

"Sh, I think they're talking about Cristina." Meredith told the redhead, who turned back around. Jackson gave her a knowing look before focusing forward again.

"It became clear to Dr. Yang that they were gonna need to switch modalities. The patient was put on ECMO...."

Eleanora opened the door to the auditorium as quietly as she could, wincing when it closed behind her. She quickly moves back to their row, but chose instead to sit on the other side of Meredith instead of Alex.

"Until he showers, I don't sit beside him." Eleanora told her friend quietly, adjusting in her seat. "I don't like vomiting, makes me all shaky."

"And why did Dr. Yang opt to use the intro-aortic ballon pump over an R-VAD?" A surgeon asked in the crowd, interrupting Teddy's presentation.

"I, um, I can't answer for Dr. Yang." Teddy tried, giving him a tight-lipped smile before focusing on her index cards.

"And why isn't she here?" The same surgeon asked, raising a brow. Eleanora and Meredith both winced at those words. Eleanora started to fiddled with her wedding band, shaking her head.

"This is going to be a mess."

"She, uh...." Teddy struggled for words for a moment. "She quit. She left the program."

The room starts to erupt into shocked murmurs and gasps. Mark stood up, closing his eyes for a moment as he let those words sink in. "I'm sorry, what? She ?"

Eleanora furrowed her brows at her husbands reaction, sitting up a bit. Teddy tried to ignore Mark, continuing the presentation.

"Dr. Yang cleared the ballon pump with Dr. McQueen..." the sound of a cellphone ringing filled the air, but Eleanora chose to ignore it as she focused on Mark's shock.

"Go back, go back. Yang quit the program?" Mark asked, focusing on Teddy. Derek nodded, glancing up at his friend in an unimpressed way.

"Yeah, where have you been?"

"Well, that's the first I've heard of it. Hunt, what the hell happened?"

"She told the Chief she quit." Hunt told him, shaking his head. Mark turned to the Chief, who waved him off and took a phone call.

"Richard?" Mark sighed, looking towards the back. "Nora?"

Eleanora sighed, some people turning around to look at her for a moment. "I told you about it the night it happened, Mark. Did you not pay attention to me?"
