sat on the bench in the residents lounge, struggling to tie her shoes and text her mother at the same time. A lot of peoples pagers are going off, Eleanora's being one of them. She quickly finishes the text, one about how her mother did not to come to Seattle two weeks before the wedding just to help her find a dress and she definitely didn't need to drag Sabrina, Jenna, and Jenna and Enzo's newborn daughter along with her.

"Sounds big. I'm betting MVC." Jackson piped up, checking his pager. Lexie pushes past him and Alex, purposely not looking at her ex-boyfriend. Eleanora gives a slightly worried look before standing up, grabbing her labcoat from her cubby.

"Multiple MVC or an apartment fire." Alex adds, grabbing his stethoscope. He made sure he had everything before starting for the door, Eleanora sighing.

"He's grouchy." She commented, Jackson smirking as he pulled on his scrub top. April leaned towards the two, her voice low as she looked around the residents lounge.

"When is the staring gonna stop?" The redhead asked, Eleanora looking around. When she sees a majority of the room staring and whispering she sinks into herself a bit, pulling on her labcoat.

"As soon as the novelty wears off." Jackson tells her. He notices Eleanora's face and he nudges her with his shoulder, his voice a bit softer. "Just ignore them."

Eleanora nods quickly, clearing her throat as she pulled her hair up. "I am. It's not like it's their fault we were shot up, is it?"

Jackson gives her a worried look, April giving her one as well. Lexie pulls Eleanora closer, annoyed with the looks everyone was giving the group.

"I need you to make sure I don't jump over this bench and claw their eyes out." Lexie whispered to her friend, voice low as she finished getting ready for her shift.

"Why is it up to me to make sure you don't commit an act of violence?" Eleanora asked with a small laugh, leaning on the cubby as she waited for her friend to finish.

"You're my moral compass, Ella." Lexie told her before glancing over her shoulders again. Lexie finished getting ready and Eleanora pushed off the cubby, but stopped from moving towards the door when she noticed Lexie's glare at the other residents.

"Yes! Okay, I am the crazy one. I am the one who freaks out and screams at people....like that!" Lexie snaps, Meredith and Cristina turning from where they were sitting. Eleanora sighs, laying her hand on Lexie's arm.

"Go gawk at each other for a while." Meredith told the others, them heading out. She then turns to Lexie, who is fiddling with trying to put on her watch. "Are you okay?"

"Would everybody please just stop asking if I am okay? ?" Lexie asks her before starting out of the room. Eleanora raised her brows and watched with slightly worried eyes as her friend marched out of the room. She then turned back to Cristina and Meredith, shrugging.

"She isn't freaking out and causing chaos in the ER. I say she's fine for now." Eleanora gave them a quick smile before jogging after Lexie and heading towards the ER to answer the page.

______

multiple burn victims. Two with paralysis, three with vision loss, one, uh, blown eardrums, and one dislocated hip." Callie rattled off as Eleanora, April, and Lexie neared her in the chaotic ER.

"House fire?" Lexie asked, Eleanora nodding as she pulled on her gloves.

"Explosion?" April asked, Alex following up.

"Car wreck?"

"Uh, act of God." Callie stated, looking up when Bailey speaks up.

"Act of God?"

"Lightning strike."

"All that from one lightning strike?" Alex asked. Callie nodded, not looking up from her clipboard.

"One lightning strike, eight victims. Took out a whole flag football team." Callie finally walked off from the group, everyone looking around in shock for a moment. Bailey shook her head, scoffing.

"God was in a mood today."

Eleanora nodded, pushing away from the group and starting towards one of the patients. "Someone must of really pissed him off."

______

doll. I just took a phone call from a very worried mother." Mark stated, standing beside his girlfriend at the ER desk. She looks up from the chart for a moment, a small laugh escaping her.

"Okay?"

"It was worried mother." He adds, raising a brow. Eleanora's head snapped up, her eyes wide. "She said something about how she wanted me to get you to go to a therapist to make sure you were okay because you were acting weird?"

"I do not need to go to a therapist!" Eleanora squeaked out, turning to face her fiancé. "I just told her not to drag herself, my two sisters, and my two-month year old niece out to Seattle two weeks before our wedding just to go dress shopping! That is not weird, it's practical!"

Eleanora then grew confused, scrunching her nose up as she thought. "Since when did my mom have your number? Has she always had it?"

"I gave it to her when they visited last. We talk sometimes." He waved her off before focusing back on the topic. "Why don't you want your family to help you shop for a dress, doll? I feel like that would be right up your alley."

Eleanora grew quiet for a moment before turning to grab her chart again, shaking her head. "There's just no point in it, Mark. It's a waste of time and money, because they'll just have to come back in a few weeks. Mer, Lexie, Cristina and even April said they'd go with me. I'll be fine."

After grabbing all of her things she pressed a quick kiss to her fiancés lips before skipping off. "I have to run labs!"

Mark watched after her with a slightly worried look, shaking his head. He knocked his knuckles off of the top of the desk a few times before pushing away and heading back to his patient.
