Guys, English is not my mother tongue, there will definitely be many errors, but you have to live with them, since I have seen and read, many novels that have these errors, but there are still many people who read them, so I hope that also mine be considered :).

They arrive

In a stronghold, a few weeks away from the city of Deria, a discussion is currently taking place between the commander of the fort, and a stranger who does not live in the Alterac region.

"I would like an explanation, Fynzia, why are people from your tribe causing disturbances in this region? Especially in the territories that I have the task of guarding." The commander of the fort seems very irritated by this particular situation.

"Ahaha Vestija, you seem to have a lot of problems in your area, do you by any chance need a hand?" A voice comes from an instrument held by Vestija, the commander of this fort. "Has being a commander made you weaker? Ahahaha!"

"There is nothing to joke about, Fynzia, we agreed that your people would never cross the border line of these lands, we made a promise, together with Tiria, don't you remember it?" Vestija tries to get more and more angry due to the other woman's joking behavior.

"Be calm, Vestija, I remember every promise I made in the past...that's why I have nothing to do with the tabaxi who are causing harm in your area." Vestija's eyes widen when she hears Fynzia's words.

"What do you mean? Explain yourself!" Vestija demands explanations, she and she want them immediately.

"It's true that those idiots are part of my tribe, but they disobeyed my orders, and ended up doing their own thing, invading your kingdom." Fynzia explains that the tabaxi who are currently in the Alterac region are unruly members of Fynzia's tribe.

"But why did they decide to invade us, what the hell happened?" Vestija can't understand the reason for the tabaxi invasion.

"Are you telling me you don't know about it?" Fynzia's voice sounds surprised to learn that Vestija knows nothing.

"What do you mean? What am I not aware of?" Vestija has a big question mark in her head.

"If you who are one of the most important and influential people of that kingdom, do not know anything, it means that something terrible is happening in your parts." Fynzia believes that the waters in the kingdom of Alterac are stirring. "Exactly one month ago, a ship from your kingdom arrived on the coast of Lustria, with battalions following it, but they were not alone. Apparently your King has cornered a well-known hunter, Kraven, famous for his hands of collecting the trophies of the prey it captures and kills, is by its nature inclined to always fight against strong creatures."

"Kraven?! What the hell are you talking about? Why would the King lock up someone like him? It doesn't make sense..." Vestija doesn't understand what to do with the tabaxi invasion.

"Let me finish, Kraven started hunting all kinds of creatures in these lands, it seemed like he was just looking for challenges for himself, but instead he was aiming for something. The tear of Diana, the goddess of nature is of animals, one of the most revered by the people who dwell in the vegetation. It is said that that tear has the power to cure every disease that exists on this planet, but that relic is an important artifact of our people, not just my tribe." Fynzia begins to explain the reason for the invasion. "Listen, Vestija, there are not only tabaxi from my tribe, but also from other smaller ones, especially many from the Rakja tribe... and you already know who commands them, right?" Vestija's eyes widen at the name of the tribe Fynzia mentions.

"Rakja, so does that mean he's here?" Vestija begins to have a bad omen in her mind.

"No, he is still on his way to Alterac, he has brought with him many members of his tribe, those who are there are only the scouts who snuck onto your kingdom's ships." Fynzia reassures Vestija.

"If this relic is so important, how come you didn't leave with the rest of the tabaxi?" Vestija is curious to know why she stopped someone like Fynzia.

"You said it first, I made a promise, but it's also for another reason. Our goddess, she told us not to go and retrieve the tear, and I obeyed." Fynzia explains the reason for her not leaving.

"The Goddess Diana? But isn't she in a coma, did she cause that accident?" Vestija believes that it was Diana who commanded Fynzia to stay still.

"No Diana, but Dilga, her daughter. Don't tell me why she ordered us not to take back the tear, because she didn't reveal anything to us." Fynzia doesn't know why one of their goddesses ordered not to interfere, gods are strange after all.

"I understand, but if that guy reaches this kingdom, we won't be ready for a battle with him, we already have our problems." Vestija does not know how to cope with these impending problems.

"Vestija, I'm giving you some advice as a friend, or rather, as a sister...be very careful, and if things ever go for the worse, you know that you're welcome among us again, never forget it." Fynzia says these words, warming Vestija's heart a little.

"I thank you, sister...but as you know I promised the queen that I would be by her side until the darkest hour of this kingdom, she is like you, I have never broken a promise." Vestija does not intend to escape from the dangers of this kingdom, she and she will continue to protect her queen.

"Ahhhh it's a shame, but it's okay, I can't force you to do what you don't want, then I'd say we're done...I have problems around here too, so goodbye, see you next time, Vestija." Fynzia turns off the magic stone that can make two people communicate from a very long distance.

"Thank you, Fynzia." Vestija places the instrument on the counter, she gets up from her chair, approaches the window and watches her soldiers training inside the fortress walls. 'I have to talk to the king...something doesn't feel right.' Vestija heads for the door, planning to meet her king.

Night falls on the city of Deria, causing the people who crowded the streets to return home. The shops close, the adventurers return to their rooms in the inns scattered around the city, and the guards begin their night patrol.

"Come on, Fenrya!" Borz warns his partner that the time has come to infiltrate the Floga mansion.

"Mm." Fenrya says nothing and follows Borz, towards their destination.

The two jump from roof to roof, until they reach the roof of the building closest to the mansion.

"There are both soldiers and guards, for the latter they are not a problem, but the soldiers are already something we have to deal with." Borz begins counting the number of their enemies. "In the garden there are twenty guards and ten soldiers, in the back there are half as many. We have to hide in the vegetation of the garden, and look for an entrance through the windows from there." Borz doesn't want to fight with all those guards and soldiers, he has to save his strength for the Marquis.

"Okay, we just need to remain invisible to human eyes." Fenrya doesn't seem to feel any tension at this moment.

"And so therefore-" When Borz was about to give the go-ahead, a loud noise shakes the city of Deria, waking up all the citizens and alarming the guards.

*Boooooom*

"What the hell was that?!" Borz doesn't understand what the hell is going on in this city, a green explosion breaks out in one part of the city.

"There, that way." Fenrya points in a direction, towards the center of the city, a large smoke rises towards the sky, making itself noticed by all the citizens.

"What's happening?!""Mom, I'm scared!""May the Goddess Nikea protect us!" A multitude of voices begin to echo throughout Deria, worried about the catastrophic event that is happening.

"They started moving, damn rats!" Borz exclaims only these words.

'I hope you took my advice, Sanryu.' Fenrya's thoughts turn to the boy who challenged her.

The square of the city of Deria was almost entirely opened by a hole in the ground, creating a large chasm in the center of it.

"Stand back!" The guards immediately prepare to surround this crater, driving away curious citizens and inviting them to return to their homes. "What the hell is this?" The captain of the guard looks out over the chasm, observing its depth. "I can't see a damn thing-" As the captain rages due to the darkness of the chasm, a spear impales the captain in the throat, causing a large quantity of blood to flow from his mouth, and then he falls into the chasm.

"" "Captain!" "" The guards around him shout his name, but it's too late, the captain is gone.

In the darkness of the crater a large amount of red lights appear, causing the guards around it to retreat. "What are those lights?" One of the guards asks his companions around him.

"They're not lights." One of his comrades answers, attracting the attention of his fellow soldiers, the latter observing the sweaty face of their comrade. "They're eyes!" And as he exclaims those words, a multitude of rats, both humanoid and quadrupedal, come out of the crater, swarming into the square as if they were a tide of locusts.

"Sniff Sniff THE MONKEYS TO DEATH! CONQUER, LOOT, KILL FOR THE HORNED RAT!" A skaven, who appears little larger than the rest of his kind, shouts to his army that they are invading the city.

The Skaven invasion begins.
