First mission

Sanryu and Luruen walk towards the guild headquarters, asking passers-by on the street for directions to find the location of this structure, until they reach it a short time later. "This is the guild hall, we've finally arrived, so let's not waste any more time and let's go in." Sanryu urges the goddess to follow in her footsteps, and she follows him without saying anything.

As soon as I entered, I was overwhelmed by the amount of adventurers found inside this venue, of all disparate types. From warriors to paladins, to wizards to druids and others, everyone is busy doing something, who is discussing with their party, who is choosing which mission to undertake on the notice board, who is extracting information from the guild's staff and more.

"I would say it's busier here than in the whole city." It seems there were more adventurers than citizens in this city. 'Maybe it's because of the approaching threats?' Sanryu raises various hypotheses in her mind.

"Shouldn't we hurry?" Luruen reminds Sanryu what they came to this place to do.

"You're right, let's go to the counter to register." Sanryu walks briskly towards one of the free counters. "Hello, we would like to sign up as adventurers." Sanryu doesn't go round and round what he says, he simply summarizes what he wants to do in a nutshell.

"Hello there, we are pleased that there are people who want to join our guild, could you give me your documents?" The assistant politely asks for the couple's documents, and the boy hands over both his and Luruen's. "Perfect, now I will have to modify them, while you could fill out these sheets, you just need to enter basic information, such as age, height and other questions, I will go and register you." The assistant gets up from the chair and shows the sheets where the couple must enter their information, and then heads towards a door.

"I'll fill out yours too Lurue, you can stay put." Sanryu will fill out both his and the goddess's sheet, making up information about her such as her age and date of birth. "Great, everyone's ready now." Sanryu takes very little time to fill out the two sheets of paper and puts the quill pen back in the inkwell on the counter.

"Sorry for the wait, here are your modified documents, now it says that your profession is that of an adventurer, you will start from the main rank, the copper rank. After that there is the bronze, silver, gold, diamond and finally platinum, but for now you can only take tasks that suit your rank, to undertake higher rank missions, you should be accompanied by adventurers of the same rank as the mission or higher." The clerk begins to explain some features of the guild's system. "To continue being an adventurer, you will have to complete a minimum of three quests per month. If this requirement is not met, your adventurer license will be revoked and you will no longer be able to join the guild for a year. Arriving in front of the noticeboard, the couple attracts a lot of attention, more precisely it is Lurue who attracts attention, given her stupendous beauty and her warm body, which can only be hidden a little by the clothing that Sanryu has purchased. "Well, well, what should we choose?" Sanryu begins to read the various missions hanging on the bulletin board, he begins to ponder various choices on which mission to tackle first.

"How about that?" Suddenly, Lurue picks out one that she's been eyeing from before.

Sanryu brings his gaze towards the mission that Lurue was indicating, the boy grabs the flyer and begins to read. "Cleaning the sewers of giant rats? Perfect for a starting mission, but it's strange that you would want to go to a place as repulsive as the sewers." Lurue may be a nature goddess, but it wasn't thought that she would want to go to a place like the sewers, before she is a goddess she is a woman.

"Who said we would go together? Only you will go, do you expect me to come to a disgusting place like the sewers? Haha do me a favor." Obviously Lurue had no intention of going down to a place like the sewers, she'll just send Sanryu there alone.

"I spoke too soon, but actually a mission like this won't be a problem, let's take it to the counter to accept it, and then we'll go look for an inn to stay for the night." Sanryu doesn't protest Lurue's choice, he heads to the counter to accept the mission.

"Did you choose your first mission?" asks the employee who previously registered the two.

"Yes, here you go." Sanryu gives the mission flyer to the girl.

"Everything seems in order and I can give you the OK to proceed with the mission." The employee doesn't notice anything strange and gives her consent to start the mission.

"Thank you again, see you again." Sanryu greets the clerk but as she does this, out of the corner of her eye she notices a certain person. 'Aren't you the same girl who brushed against Lurue today?' A red-haired girl is currently having a heated argument with one of the guild workers, but Sanryu believes it's none of her business so she heads to the guild exit.

The two leave the structure and immediately start looking for an inn to stay. But they are lucky, because a few steps from the guild headquarters, there is a medium-sized inn, with a plaque above the entrance reading 'The Broken Spear'.

"Let's go to that inn, let's hope they still have room for two people." Sanryu guides Lurue towards that inn, and in her mind she also hopes that the costs are reasonable.

After entering the inn, Sanryu walks towards the entrance counter and greets the innkeeper who is cleaning some mugs.

"Good morning, innkeeper, can you tell me if there are any free rooms?" Sanryu asks the man behind the counter, this man is well built, with large amounts of muscles and his head is bald, his complexion is very dark, a sign that he is not from around here.

"Good morning to you, luckily for you yes, we have some free rooms, how many do you need?" The innkeeper asks how many rooms Sanryu needs.

"One is more than fine." Sanryu decides that a room for a couple is fine.

"So a room for two, if you only want accommodation, it's five silver coins each, and if you also ask for food, it's another five coins each, for one day." The innkeeper reveals the prices of his services.

"Mhhh, okay, just lodging will do for now. I'll pay for two days, so here's twenty silver coins for you." Sanryu gives the money to the innkeeper, the latter after taking the money, gives the keys to the room to the couple.

"Here you are, the room is on the second floor, if you turn right, it will be the third door, have a good day." The innkeeper explains the location of the couple's room.

Sanryu thanks the innkeeper and takes the stairs to reach the room where the two of them will stay. Arriving in front of the door, the boy opens it and immediately begins to observe what this room is like. It is a simple tavern room, no flashy decorations, there are only the necessary things to stay in, a large bed for two people, a wardrobe and other useful furniture. Sanryu prepares to put away everything he won't need for his mission and brings only what is necessary.

"So what are you going to do while I'm on a mission, Lurue?" Sanryu asks what the goddess plans to do in her absence.

"I think I'll just stay here lying on this bed." Lurue dives onto the large bed in the room, bouncing on it. "It's not very comfortable, but I couldn't expect anything better from an inn like this." Lurue collapses onto the mattress of the bed, not intending to do anything.

"I promise we'll have nicer accommodations in the future...but now we'll have to settle for this." Sanryu scratches the back of his neck and promises the goddess that they will live in more expensive accommodations in the future. "Then I'll go, see you later, Lurue." Sanryu walks out the door, greeting the goddess.

"See you later, Sanryu." Lurue waves her hand at the boy's departure.
