Where is your House?

I roamed around my gaze from the outside of the car.

Unknowingly, we arrived at my place. It stopped exactly in front

of my house. I frowned. How could he have possibly known

where my house is? He stopped the car in front of the gate.

I looked at him, confused to which he responded with a

smirk.

"I was asking you where your house is but you didn't

bother to answer and so I stopped the vehicle." He chuckled to

himself. "It seems like you were lost in your own thoughts.

Where would your location be?" he asked in a low voice.

I heaved a sigh. For a moment there, I thought he

already knew where I lived.

"We're already here," I answered. "The gate in front of

you is my house which is next to Oddette's," I added, explaining.

I saw his head turn on where I pointed at.

"There's light upstairs. Your parents must be awake,

waiting for you to arrive," he mentioned. The moment I heard

those words, my face immediately turned into a bitter look. I

lowered my gaze, trying to stop myself from crying.

"How I wish they were waiting for me," I mumbled,

unsure if he heard me out if my weak words.

"I'm sorry; I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." I heard

him say. His hand then reached towards my chin, lifting it gently

to look at me. Tears started streaming down my cheek; he wiped

it off gently with his hands.

"Please forgive me," he added.

"I'm sorry for suddenly crying. It might have startled and

confused you," I responded in between my sobs. It's

embarrassing how I'm easily emotional.

After a few days passing by, I finally got used to Zoren's

presence and those women coming in and out of the shop.

Before asking for their order, the first thing that comes

out of my mouth whenever they come is how Renzo was absent.

And for Miranda, her being my companion at home seems nice.

When I get back from my night duty, I can always see

her bedroom lampshade opened and have no idea if she's still

awake or asleep. And in the daytime before I go to work, either

she just came back from school or went out to go somewhere

else. Since we have a connected bathroom in every room, we

don't have to bother each other in using the washroom.

"How's your work?" It was Miranda. She comes back

from the backyard after hanging her clothes outside. She just

finished washing her clothes. I walked towards the kitchen,

preparing my food for work.

"Good, I'm used to it," I responded. "Unlike before, I had

a hard time adjusting to the people." I explained to her, pulling

the refrigerator door open.

"I cooked sauté mixed vegetables and fried fish. You can

bring it to your work." Hearing those words come out of her

mouth, my face immediately lit up. She was putting more clothes

on the washing machine, looking unbothered by my awe.

Actually, I'm so grateful that Miranda and I live

together. She always cooks food for the two of us.

"Thank you so much, Miranda! I'm so glad that you're

my roommate," I exclaimed, my eyes glimmering in excitement.

"Oh come on, we're like siblings. I'm your eldest sister

while you're my youngest sister." The two of us giggled at the

thought.

I found a new family. As for my best friend Oddette, we

just see each other at work. Before she leaves the shop we

usually spend our time talking, whenever there are no

customers.

We've been working at the shop for almost a week now,

and I must say, everything is moving swiftly. I was busy

preparing myself for work when I saw Miranda busy typing on

her laptop. She lifted her head looking at me.

"You're going to work now?" she asked. As I motioned

to open my mouth, she immediately added, "don't forget to bring

an umbrella. There might be a heavy rain today," she warned,

concerned for my safety.

A smile crept into my face.

"Sure thank you, for reminding me," I said. "I'm going

now."

"Take care," she replied.

Upon her words, I shook my head. Her concerned

gesture reminds me of how much my mother cared for me

whenever I leave the house.

It was past nine o' clock in the evening when Max

received an emergency call. He's father was in a city hospital.

So, only Emmie and Zoren were left in the shop.

It was raining outside and only a few customers came in.

She stared outside the window, hoping for more customers to

come in while he was in the back, making some delicious pizza

for them to eat. Upon waiting for people to come in, she could

smell the scent of aromatic flavors mixing together and yeast

being cooked into place. Her feet led her towards the kitchen,

only to see the man in front of the oven, waiting for the pizza to

finish.

As usual, Zoren was covered in sweat. The way his thin

shirt firmly attached itself to his sweaty body, it looked like it

was transparent. She could see how ripped his abs were, making

her turn on a little.

She bit her lower lip, lost in her own delusions.

What she didn't know back then was, in the eyes of the

man; she was staring right at him with a seductively look on her

eyes
