The Secrets of a Luna

"How dare you try to reject her, you fucking freak! You hurt my friend, so I am going to hurt you." She threatened powerfully, grabbing him by his throat. "You will try to like her, and at least give her a damn chance. I am Alpha Hudson's mate. Get over it." She dropped him to the ground, her long hair swaying in the breeze. Claws grew from his hands, choosing to swipe at her ankle. Noticing his attack, she grabbed his arm. Getting down to his level, the crack of his bone snapping in half echoed in the morning air. An ivory tip stuck out of his arm, my inner wolf howling for her. "I don't love her." He declared desperately, reaching for her with her other hand. "I love you, and did when we dated." Her fists clenched tightly, blood dripping onto the ground. Shaking her head, she stood up. Fresh tears streamed down her cheeks, a broken smile shattering my heart. "You broke up with me, remember?" She snapped icily, trying to fight the tears. "You left me the day my parents died, and told me that you couldn't handle the baggage. So fuck you! Treat her well or I will kill you if she gets hurt more." She was trying to unlock her car, Grayson towered over her. A silver blade shimmered in his hand, her foot knocking it out of his hand. "Your parents were right about you." He taunted cruelly, his gray eyes darkening. "They were right to call you a loser, and a failure all of the time. They paired me with you to improve yourself, and learn obedience like the good dog you should be." Enough was enough, her body collapsing to her knees.

Chapter Ten: A Magical Surprise

Hudson:

My wolf wouldn't let me respond to her, his fucking pride hurt. She was sick, her wolf pleading with mine to talk again. Laying on my bed, the vampires were just now putting up the silver fence. The werewolves were all locked in their homes, crosses on their doors. The wooden floor creaked as I walked across the floor to my window. Red eyes glared up at me, my boots crashing outside of my house.

"Can you tell everyone that we aren't awful people?" A red haired vampire commented sarcastically, running his hand through his long shaggy scarlet hair. "I understand that we did a number on you guys, but that was a long time ago." Bowing my head in shame, his red eyes met mine. Clearing my throat, I shifted uncomfortably in my spot. Evie would know what to do here, my mind confused with what to do.

"Evie is better at this than me, but I can try to talk to them." I offered pathetically, the vampire tugging at the hem of his black dress shirt. "I apologize for the way my father treated you guys. So please let me help." A crooked grin brightened his face, his hand shaking mine.

"I am Benjamin Carlotta, the second in command in Theros' coven." He introduced himself, passing me a pair of leather gloves. "These should prevent the silver from burning you." Pulling them on, we worked all night. Shock widened my eyes, the wall was all done by the morning. The silver shimmered in the bright morning light, the vampires heading back the moment it was done.

"Your Evie is in trouble." My wolf whined softly, his tail flicking irritably. "It isn't Theros' fault, but you must leave now."

James popped up in front of me, opening the gate. Confusion twisted my face, him tossing me my bike keys. Silent words passed between us, my boots pounding towards my bike. Throwing on my helmet, the engine roared to life. Zooming down the road, trees flashed by me as I skidded to a stop in front of Theros' coven.

"They just showed up." Theros blurted out, his body covered in cuts and bruises. "I tried to fight them off, we all did. People are severely injured, but thank god no one was killed. They went that way." Taking everything off, I set it in a pile on my bike. My bones cracked, my snout growing larger as I transformed. Theros hopped on my back, him shooting me a thumbs up. Storm clouds rumbled above us, so he tucked his umbrella into his torn up coat.

"Wait for me." A brown haired boy with mismatched eyes ran behind us, a black and silver staff sitting in his palms. "I am going to fight to bring her back too. She is the first person to treat me with kindness right away. I will carry your clothes for you, okay?" Rolling my eyes, he hopped onto my back. My black fur fluttered in the wind as I crashed through the trees, the boys hanging on for dear life. A single vampire stood on top of her white wolf, blood matting her fur. Rage seethed in my eyes, the rogue vampire swinging a silver blade in his palms. A wild beard hung around his waist, his dark hair matted with trees and branches. My wolf wanted to lunch at him, Theros holding me back. My mate was laying there, and he was preventing me from getting to her. One of her eyes opened up, her wolf fading back to her body. Coughing up blood, she kicked him off of him. Her blood spun around her arms, the blood forming into a curved blade.

"Here's the thing." She wheezed, circling the rogue. "I am very pissed right now, and rather ill. So allow me to end you right here. Are you ready to die?" Flipping the blade around, sparks rained as metal smashed against metal. Blood poured from her nose, her left eye twitching in pain. The two of them darted through the trees, my form fading back to normal.

"What is that?" I demanded hotly, my voice cracking. "Since when can she do that?" Everyone shrugged, the branches crunched as we crashed through the forest to a circular opening. The two of them stood across from each other, both of them were out of breath. Her body swayed slightly, her footing nearly causing her to fall. Silver coursed through her veins, a vial of green liquid rolling to my bare feet. Theros shoved my clothes into my hands, it only took a quick moment to get dressed. Slamming her foot on the ground, vines shot up from the ground. Dodging them, he landed behind her. Pressing the silver blade to her throat, I tried to get to her again. My wolf wanted to bite Theros as he held me back, the energy shifting. Terror widened my eyes, a devious smile darkened her determined face.

"If this is how you want to play, then I will bring out the big guns. You can thank my grandmother for my witch abilities." She gloated gleefully, my body trembling as we were all pinned down to the ground. "Vines mix with the blood of my body, I order you to create a ball of pain." The vampire tried to run, her blood coating the vines. The attack snapped in his direction, crawling up his body. Raising her hand up in the air, the vampire trembled in fear.

"You have fucked with my friends for the last time." She growled through gritted teeth, closing her fist." Squeeze every ounce of life from him. Activate the iron maiden." Spikes grew from the spikes, the vines squeezing him tighter.

"Final step!" She continued with a wicked grin on her face, wiping the blood from the corner of her lips. "Devour him now." The blood vines squeezed one final time, his blood and guts turning into a flurry of red roses fluttering all around. Collapsing to her knees, she coughed up a lot of blood. The bushes rustled, a gray haired man with twinkling red eyes sauntered up to her. Running at him, he smashed us into the nearby tree with a single finger pointing in our direction.

"I see why they call you the blood maiden among the witches." He mused playfully, his black robes dancing in the breeze. "I am James Dolan, here to see the leader of the revolution against little old me. I will come back when you are better, blood maiden." His fingers traced her cheek, the claw scratching her cheek. A small line of blood dripped down her cheek, her eyes trembling in terror. She didn't get scared, and here she was shaking in her boots.

"Okay, dickhead." She wheezed, coughing up more blood. "The next time we meet, you will face your doom. Will you please leave me alone now before I h-" Evil laughter erupted from his lips, his hands wrapping around her neck. We attempted to get her, his eyes glowered in our direction.

"Don't take one step forward or I will kill her right here and now!" He warned ominously, snapping his fingers. "Simmer down while we have a conversation. You have a lot of fight in you, blood maiden. I wouldn't expect anything more. Do you remember me at all, granddaughter?" Stunned, no words sat on the tip of her tongue. Her body went limp in his hands, pure fright sent shivers up my spine. Dropping her to the ground, teardrops crashed to the ground beneath her. Snapping his fingers, he was gone. A scream of agony exploded from her lips, the way her parents had treated her making perfect sense. They hated her for their parents the moment she started to show any sign of magic. That was why everyone was scared of her when we were in school, fresh rage boiling in my veins. Sprinting over to her, her body twitched as the silver was beginning to poison her. Opening her lips, I poured the antidote down her throat. The silver faded away, her eyes closing. Desperation burned in my voice as I called for help. Tossing her over my shoulder, we rushed back to his house. Slamming her down on the bed, her pulse was weak. A man in a strange hood walked up next to her, holding his hands over her body. His hood fell, two milky eyes meeting mine. His black hair was slicked back, a pop of red peeking from the top of his robes. A bit of shock made me jump back, his appearance frightening me slightly. Chuckling to himself, he covered up his lips.

"I am Doctor Saluki, and yes I am blind. I gave up my vision two years ago to heal anyone who needs it." He explained calmly, a red glow enveloping her. "I know my appearance shocks most people, but I think that she would be kind to me. All done." My jaw dropped to the ground, her wounds were all sealed shut. Collapsing into the chair next to her, he waved goodbye as he skipped out of the room. Such an odd character, two black haired women rushing to her side. They fussed over her, both of their faces turning red as they turned back to me.

"I am Sally, and she is Susie." The shorter one chirped cheerfully, shoving her sister next to her. "We are her new friends. How do you do considering everything?" Saying nothing, they both backed out of the room. Raising my hand it was too late, they both ran off. I can't be that scary, I thought to myself.

"Alpha." She called out in her sleep, her hand reaching out for me. "Why did you ignore me?" Laying down next to her, she stopped shivering. Her eyes fluttered open, her real smile spreading on her face. Attempting to get up, I pinned her to the bed.

"I need you to rest, the capable werewolves are wiring up the solar lights right now." I stammered excitedly, pressing my lips against her hungrily. "Why didn't you tell me that you were a witch? I would have thought you were really cool, cooler than everyone else." Shame dimmed her eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I didn't want you to get bullied too." She whispered quietly, unable to speak properly. "I tried to call you. I am sorry that I hurt your wolf's feeling. Did he hear me say that?" My wolf howled in agreement with me, my hands clutching her close to my chest. Kissing the top of her head, she snuggled into my chest. Sobs wracked her body, her tears soaking the sheets underneath us. Holding her, she gripped my black t-shirt tightly. Soon enough, her gentle snores told me that she was back to sleep.

"I love you, Evie." I whispered sweetly into her ears. "I always have, and always will no matter what you are."
