Hiding

After bouncing around in the back of the truck for what feels like hours, Cruz finally pulls the truck over under a large tree and turns the engine off. I don't even bother moving, I stay laying down on the truck as everyone does the same.

They must be waiting to see if anyone is following us... I'm just trying to reorganize my insides. When I open my eyes, I realize I'm looking at someone's ass so I slowly turn my head to the other side and come face to face with Thane.

He lifts a finger to his lips, telling me to stay quiet but I already know. I slowly close my eyes and silently listen. My boobs hurt...

Thane remains laying down, silently listening for any sounds of the others but he can't help but notice how nice the kid's skin is. They've been out here for a few days now and all of them were starting to show signs of a beard but this little brat was still baby bottom smooth.

Did he always have such long eyelashes? Thane can't help but find himself completely drawn in by his looks... it's unnerving! He tries to shake himself out of his train of thoughts but when his eyes land on his lips and the cut on the bottom one, he almost reaches out to touch him.

What the hell is wrong with him!? He feels like punching himself in the face! When Valen opens his eyes again, Thane feels his mouth go dry. He has such beautiful eyes... such a beautiful grey color... Oh shit... Am I gay!?

Thane suddenly starts going through his memories and all the times he's been around guys, naked or shirtless but he's never felt that they were attractive or even good-looking. Wait, maybe it's because this guy looks like a girl.

That's it, it's because he looks so much like a girl, it's playing upon his feelings! Thane feels himself relaxing a little when he finally realizes why but when he looks back to Valen's lips, he can't help but swallow hard.

When Titus opens the door and says "I think we're clear. Move quietly. Is anyone hurt?" I open my eyes and find Thane staring at me oddly. I frown at him and slowly push myself up and groan. I hurt everywhere...

Thane finally moves and says "Just minor scrapes and bruises." Troy and Conner both jump down out of the back of the truck but when I go to jump down, Cruz shows up and opens his arms while saying "Jump, I'll catch you."

Confused, I pause and look at him like he's got two heads. I then give him a look and tell him to move but he shakes his head and says "I don't want you to hurt yourself. I know your probably shaken up after all that."

I mutter "I'm shaken up alright... just not in the way you're thinking." Suddenly, Thane scoops me up from behind and jumps off the back of the truck. I turn into a cat and hold on for dear life, struggling not to squeak as he lands.

As soon as we're down, I struggle out of his arms and straighten my vest with a glare. I look at both of them and say "Weirdos!" before walking away. Thane and Cruz glare at each other before following me over to the others.

It was still slightly raining but not like it was earlier. I think my underwear was even soaked... We all huddle next to the truck as Titus says "We just burned all of our reserved energy while running. We'll have to camp out here and hope we get clear skies tomorrow so we can head to the next base."

Troy speaks up and says "What are they doing so close to the City? They're never this close!" Titus sighs and says "I can only assume they noticed the lack of patrols happening. They're probably moving closer out of curiosity."

I frown and say "That was curiosity? That looked more like a hunt. An organized one at that... how can you be sure they won't attack us again when we head to the next base?" Titus opens his mouth to say something before closing it again and looking down.

He licks his lips before looking back up and saying "You're right... that was an attack and they were prepared. I don't know if they'll attack tomorrow but we can't just stay out here. Our best bet is the base." I grit my teeth and nod my head.

Titus looks around before saying "We won't start a fire tonight. We don't want them to find us tonight while sleeping." I close my eyes and try to calm my racing heart. Things just keep getting better and better... I'm starting to notice a pattern here and it's not looking good.

I honestly didn't sign up for this shit... when I feel something touch my lip, I suck in and pull back to see Thane trying to dab a cotton swab on it. He frowns at me and says "Your lip is cut. Let me put this on it."

My frown grows even more as I look at him in disbelief and say "You have a cut on your jaw! Can't you feel that or the blood dripping down your neck!?" This time he frowns as he reaches up and starts feeling for the cut.

I scoff at him and take the cotton swab away before saying "Look to your right." He hesitates for a moment before turning his head to the right and waiting. Holy! He could cut someone with this jawline! Was it always like this!?

I shake my thoughts away and lean forward. I gently dap the cut as I try to see how bad it is but I don't think it's that bad. It looks like the rain made his blood run more, making it look worse than it actually is.

As I lean in close, Thane suddenly turns his head! I quickly lean back and blink at him in confusion before asking "What?" He clears his throat and swallows before saying "Can you move your... hand?"

I blink in confusion again and look down to see my hand on his crotch! I jerk back and feel my whole face turn beet red as I stutter "I I I I'm sorry!" Thane's ice blue eyes stay locked onto me before saying "Like a flower..."
