It was a steep fall, one she was embarrassed had happened. She tried picking herself up, but Victor was already over her. His legs were on either side of her body and the weight of his body was on her torso.
She tried to throw him away, her self-preservation kicking in.
"Stop. Fighting." He gritted out.
For a second, she stopped fidgeting and pressed the emergency number on the phone. It was an attempt to divert his attention long enough to put some distance between them.
Of course, Victor saw her movement immediately and bent over to grab the phone. He threw it across the room and the sound of shattering met her ears.
