Chapter 143: Cat Fight

Diana felt lonely without her partner and decided to go see what he was up to. She had felt him coming out of the Library, but when she saw Fia grabbing what was hers she saw the world in red.

'I don't need a mind link to know Rony doesn't understand, he probably thought she wanted a fight or something.' Diana guessed correctly.

Fia was a water Mage and that came with some healing abilities, but she just took a full-powered Rank Five punch to the face. She was so disoriented that she wasn't even preparing her spells. The next moment a black turtle appeared and stared down the silver knight.

As a response, a white rabbit showed up on Diana's side.

"That's kind of rude, I was going to fight her." Ciaran protested. His inability to grasp why she was angry made her even angrier, but not at the boy. She knew he only had eyes for her, and everyone else was either family and enemy or a prop to him. She also knew that the woman was a teacher and probably didn't realize who she was putting the moves on, but it didn't matter.

"We are going to have a talk later, about what is happening here. Now I have a bitch in heat that needs putting down." Diana said and slowly started walking toward Fia.

The Water Mage was finally on her feet, but she felt so much danger not only from the woman, who had already taken out her warglaves but also from the rabbit, who she felt was a Mage.

Her turtle was also gifted in magic but it was just a Novice, even if it was Rank Five. She wanted to argue that the boy hit on her, but she felt if she said that, this was going to end with one of them dead.

Fia brased herself and started casting. She hadn't had a real fight in years, but she was still a prodigal Mage, at least by the Empire's standards.

"Why don't I cool you down girl." She said as she caused a tidal wave to push Diana back.

She thought she could prevent the fight with her superior magic, but then the silver knight appeared right next to her.

The black turtle used an Ice shield on his shell to take the hit for his Master, but it barely made it. To its horror the Ice broke and his shell was scratched. It was specialized in defense, and if a casual attack aimed not at him but at Fia could do this, he didn't want to think what would happen if the silver knight wanted to kill them.

Fia also realized they were outclassed, so she did the only thing she could, and asked for help. Elizabeth would be there in less than five minutes, but her other colleagues were able to respond immediately.

Twelve teachers came to help her out, and one of them was even a Grand Mage.

"What is the meaning of this? Do you realize where you are? If you don't –

Before he could finish they felt danger and collectively backed away.

Ciaran had decided to join the fight, baring his fangs at the Grand Mage. To their absolute horror, a giant spider stood next to him, flames already coming out of its body.

"I don't get why you are so mad, but if you want them dead, I will oblige. I will take care of Grandpa over there, you deal with the rest. Whoever finishes first, helps the other." He said as he summoned his Storm.

Unlike Diana who was angry but still held back, Ciaran was about to rain destruction on them all. The teachers wanted to talk things out, but before they could, the boy spoke first, in runic.

~Show the old man he can die~

Ciaran cast a spell at the Grand Mage level and felt his energy drain out of his body. The next second the world came alive. The Earth erupted and tried to swallow the old man whole. The Air tried to get in his lungs and rip them to shreds. The Water left after Fia's previous attack turned to Ice and tried to stab him, all the while the storm had pinned him to the ground, and wanted his soul.

The Academy Mages fled in horror. That was far beyond their pay grade. But Diana didn't allow Fia to flee, she caught her by the hair and slammed her into the ground.

"There are consequences in touching my man, whore." She said, as she took her gauntlets off, and started beating her.

There was so much carnage going on that Alaric couldn't ignore it anymore and had to stop them. He came fully intending to stop the violence instantly, but when he stepped in a bunch of flaming fire webs strapped him with the Storm.

Ciaran knew the old man would show up, so he forced him into a situation where he couldn't just wash his hands off the matter. If he didn't fight, two of his most promising mages would die, if he did, he had a high chance of hurting the boy, and as such he would get into even more trouble.

"Smart, but you underestimate Archmages a little too much." He said, as thunder roared in the sky, and came crashing down on the Storm. Strangely it didn't outright kill the elemental, rather it stunned it and then dispelled it.

He did the same with Diana and her rabbit, he just stunned them and brought them to the boy. Not one of the three felt a single iota of pain.

"You two are strong, but nowhere near the top level of strong. Now stop causing so much trouble." He said, and when he looked at the boy, he regretted coming here.

Ciaran was barely conscious but he eyed him like he was the most delicious meal in the world. Alaric was creeped out, and just stepped back, going to Fia to see how she was doing.

The woman was unconscious with no serious injuries, but her face was messed up. He could guess what she did to piss off Diana so much, but he didn't want to bring it up.

"Ok, we were in the wrong, and you went too far. My verdict is that we will forget this ever happened, dismissed. " He said, picking up Fia, and heading to the medical wing.

"But Alaric, how can you let these degenerates to –

"I said, DISMISSED." The principal said, this time putting all of his pressure as an Archmage behind his voice.

He could already feel both the dryads and the royals looking at them, and that was a fight no one could win. Not to mention that if any more bureaucratic punishment fell on Ciaran, his mother would probably gut them all anyway.

'And that is IF, she doesn't find out one of our teachers molested her son. Gods help me, I never thought I had to tell my teachers to keep their hands off the students.' Alaric thought, already fearing how and what he was going to tell Elizabeth.

The teachers reluctantly dispersed, and Diana picked up Ciaran, letting him lean over her shoulder, as they made their way to the Maze.

"I wanted him to figure it out by himself. I thought he had learned and matured when we were apart. I am sorry Diana, I should have interfered earlier." Ariadne said as she shared her memories with the rabbit and the duo.

Ciaran finally figured out what was going on, and apologized amid laughs. He found the whole thing rediculous. He wanted a fight, not intimacy.

The Rabbit just sighed and nodded. He was glad at least in this regard his Master's partner was innocent. Diana was just regretful she didn't add a few more kicks to the stomach for a good measure.

"You know I would have figured it out and killed her on the spot, right? I told you I am a one-lady kind of guy, and you are the only one for me." He said, and she nodded.

She didn't speak, and Ciaran thought she was still angry at him, but the familiars knew better. She was just speechless at her own hypocrisy. She avoided saying it, but she had feelings for the boy, and she was outright possessive of him.

'Two days without him, and some random pick-me girl and I lost my mind. I can't go on like this much longer.' She thought and made up her mind.

"Ok." She said. Making the trio look at her questioningly.

She gritted her teeth in embarrassment and continued.

"We are a thing now. I agree, so no more women Ciaran." She said, with bloodlust in her eyes.

The boy didn't know whether to laugh, cheer or cry. He never wanted 'women' to begin with, his heart desired her and her alone. On the other hand, he was ecstatic, as his partner had finally made herself officially his girl.

"No more, I promise." He said amid a laugh, getting himself a slap on the back of the neck.
