Chapter 212 - Detained

Lai dragged a reluctant Eric down to the basement parking lot. He couldn't believe that he actually tried to drug a member of the most influential family in this country. That was a close call. If anyone had spotted the doing that shady act, he would have lost his badge and this kid would have gone to jail!

He mentally prepared his mind to tell Haolei about everything that happened in this hospital.

Just when the elevator door opened, he saw a red-clothed figure walking over with a slight sway in her hips. Lai immediately pulled Eric to a corner and hid behind a parked car. 'She is here again… she must relay love him. Fuck, am I wasting my time chasing after her... why did this happen? Why did she play with my heart? I thought we loved each other….'

He felt the boy's whole body stiffen.

"I-Is that your girlfriend?" the young boy whispered ever so softly with a slight tremble in his voice.

"Yea…. My ex-girlfriend." Lai said through gritted teeth.
