"Care to explain?" I asked, raising my brow.

"Explain what?" Travis responded, already seeming uncomfortable. You can't possibly believe what he said. "

"Sure I can."

Just by Travis' discomfort, it was easy enough to see that there was truth to Gregory's words. If not, why was he squirming?

"Marissa, could you please just pretend he said nothing?" Travis sighed while running a hand through his hair. "Even if it is true, that was the past, okay?"

Honestly, I wanted to pretend nothing was said. I also wanted to pretend that it didn't bother me. The rage and jealousy that was rushing through me was really throwing me off. Never in my life had I ever felt like this, and damnit, I hated it!

"Trust me, I want to." I grumbled, feeling my irritation flare even more. "I truly don't want to give a shit about your past conquests, but this mate bond isn't allowing it."

There, I admitted to my jealousy.

"Wait..." Travis spoke as his eyes lit up. "Did you just admit to caring?"
