Chapter 9: Your Prince Has Arrived

While Kenzo and Shiro were fighting Chiyo was shocked by Shiros strength. He couldn't believe his eyes. Someone who had just received his powers was at this level of combat. Chiyo felt like a complete embarrassment.

Chiyo: "How is this possible? Not long ago he could barely control his devil powers, but now he's fighting Kenzo on equal footing?"

Yamitsuki: "There's nothing to be ashamed about Chiyo. You're wrong about something though."

Chiyo: "What do you mean by that friend?"

Yamitsuki: "He's not a host for a 'Devil', but for a 'Demon'. And don't forget that right now he's fighting on a released state which means that he's receiving help from his companion, but Kenzo is fighting using only his inherent element and still hasn't released his demons power."

Chiyo: "If what you're saying is true than that boy might be a threat to us, but Kenzo is more than enough to get rid of him."

Yamitsuki: "That's true, but nothing is sure for now so let's just keep watching the fight and learn something from both of them."

Each of them kept going blow for blow and it looked like the fight would never end. Whenever Kenzo tried to attack him Shiro would defend and then immediately counter.

Kenzo: "I have to admit you're quite something, but still not enough!"

Kenzo than delivered a powerful blow which knocked Shiro back but didn't cause any harm to him.

Kenzo: "I would love to continue this for more, but it's time to wrap things up since battling someone of your level is no fun."

Kenzo: "Come forth and engrave fear into your opponent's heart with your mighty roar NUE the almighty chimera!"

A huge energy started bursting out of Kenzos body. It was enough to make both Shiro and Chiyo tremble in fear. It was obvious that he had summoned his demon and now the fight has gotten serious.

Shiro: "Kageboshi what is this? How the f*ck am I supposed to defeat something of this scale?"

Chiyo: "He's the captain's right hand man of course he has to be strong, but this is on a completely different scale from what I thought!"

When the huge mass of dark energy that was bursting out of him finally cleared out both of them couldn't stop shaking in fear from what they saw. The dark energy had shaped around his body into the form of a feral like creature making Kenzo look like a half human half chimera creature.

He now had claws, the legs of a tiger and a tail like a snake. The only thing left untouched was his head.

Kenzo: "So what do you think? This is still not my full strength, but it should be enough to end you."

Shiro had lost all hope but he knew that giving up right there would mean his death.

Kageboshi: "SHIRO STOP SPACING OUT AND PAY ATTENTION!"

If it wasn't for Kageboshis words, right then and there Shiros head would be separated from his body because of Kenzos attack.

Shiro: "He's way faster than previously! I can barely follow his movements!"

Kegeboshi: "Shiro focus on using shadow manipulation to block his attacks till you find an opening to use 'That'!"

Shiro: "But didn't you tell me to not use 'That'?"

Kageboshi: "Yes, I did because it's to taxing on your body, but it's our best bet to defeat this guy."

Shiro did as Kageboshi told him, but it was so hard to block his attacks let alone find an opening.

Nue: "It's been a long time since you used my power on an opponent. You must really respect this kids efforts."

Kenzo: "Yes I really do respect his efforts and it's a shame that we can't didn't receive orders to recruit him, but not going all out would be a greater shame since it would mean that his efforts were all for nothing."

Nue: "You can be a battle freak, but you know how to respect others efforts. Now stop playing with him and finish it I almost feel bad for him."

Kenzo: "Ok, Ok don't rush me."

Kenzo raised his claws ready to deliver the finishing blow, but he made on big mistake.

Shiro: "Hey idiot!"

Shiro: "Didn't they teach you to protect the lower part of your body."

Using shadow manipulation Shiro managed to make Kenzo trip and now that he was stuck in mid-air Shiro wasted no time and pointed his hand in his direction ready to attack.

Shiro: "LIGHT CANON!"

A huge burst of light came out engulfing everything in its way including Kenzo.

Kageboshi: "Light might be the element of life itself, but its destructiveness is nearly on par with that of dark energy. Even though powerful it is heavily taxing on the users body and can deplete the energy reserves inside his body leaving the user hopeless in case of a counterattack so missing is a guaranteed loss."

Chiyo: "That's impossible! This guy is also harnessing the element of light!"

Chiyo was stunned by Shiros power which left him speechless. During this clash of titans Chiyo realized how weak he was and swore to train and get more powerful than everyone.

Shiro: "Is it over!"- said Shiro while barely being able to stand.

Kenzo: "Who said it is?"

When the smoke cleared Kenzo could be seen standing up. Even though he was heavily wounded he seemed he was able to heal himself enough to keep fighting.

Chiyo: "That's the second in command for you. Even after getting hit by an attack of that scale he's still able to fight."

Shiro: "Sh*t this is ba-"

The effects of his attack quickly spread on Shiros body rendering him immobile.

Shiro: "Sh*t I can't move my body!"

Kageboshi: "KID HURRY UP AND SUMMON ONIMARU! FORGET THE CHANT JUST SAY ITS NAME OUT LOUD AND I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE ENERGY NEEDED TO MOVE, BUT YOU NEED TO HURRY OR ELSE YOU'RE DONE FOR."

Kenzo: "I got to say you managed to wound me pretty badly, but now it's over for you."

Kenzo didn't hesitate and charged at Shiro ready to end this, but Shiro barely managed to muster the words which would save his life.

Shiro: "ONIMARU!"

Right in that moment the noble sword of destruction appeared and the energy shifted.

Nue: "Kenzo stop immediately or you're dead! He's…"

Both Shiro and Chiyo were stunned to see the most powerful man they know kneel before Shiro.

Kageboshi: "So you figured me out. Too bad guess I can't hide it any longer."

Kenzo: "I'm sorry for my rudeness. Please forgive the behavior of me and Nue. The prince and heir to the throne of the 'Demon Realm'. Kageboshi 'The Shadow Demon'."

An absolute silence was felt and the mood completely shifted by Kenzos words alone.

Yamitsuki: "So my suspicions were right he really is the heir of the throne, but his aura doesn't feel anywhere close to that of a royal!"

Nue speaks using Kenzos body

Nue: "My prince please forgive me I promise this won't happen again."

Kageboshi does the same thing.

Kageboshi: "You're forgiven because I was intentionally trying to hide my presence."

Nue: "If you don't mind please tell me why someone of your caliber would do something like that?"

Kageboshi: "Because I came here with direct orders from my father."

Nues face turned completely pale once he heard that.

Nue Thinking: "Kageki the king of the 'Demon Realm' sent him here! Then there's something serious going on."

Everything was over, but Nue couldn't help but stress that something big is about to happen since royalty is now involved.
