Somewhere deep in the heart of man, lies the desire to rule, survive and be free. This drive is what we may say is our instinct or general propensity as Perry would term it.
This drive is what pushed Sarah on and on as she ran through the wet and muddy grounds surrounding her. The night was dark -even darker than normal- she thought she saw images of things and evils lurking in every corner she turned. She also felt a strong and growing sense of dread of everything as she knew her pursuers were closing in. They knew this place better than she, and was definitely now either plain stupid -for loosing her-, or just playing with her as some sort of sick prey. This thought had her giving up earlier than she would have.
There was also the thought of how to get out of this location. It was some sort of maze that was built with iron containers. It was like a shipment arena, where every container was placed gently and with care and precision in order to torment their victims. It was working; because with a bleeding mouth, stomach, head and a probable concussion with some definitely shattered ribs, she was in pain and the frustration was towering over her. Every container looked the same, and seemed to be place in the same angle; leading her towards or away from danger.
'is this what pain feels like?' Sarah asked herself. She paused to catch her breath, and as she stood up to continue her escape, right before her stood a giant of a man... "It can't end like this, "
"It will not end like this..." The soft heart spoken words refused to protrude from her mouth, more because of pride than of fear and weariness...
She jostled backwards, trying in vain to dodge the same plank that had sent her sprawling on the floor, Moments before... All she saw now was "DARKNESS".
