Chapter 22: Leaving the Abyss.

Infinite stars and worlds floated and spun in a dark space, devoid of any light. There were no moons or luminous stars, commonly known as suns.

These worlds seemed that, had perished, they contained no life, they were just wasteland planets. Wastelands of fragmented and destroyed worlds were all there were as if chaos itself had consumed them and given them the blessing.

Chilling, tenebrous growls that would make even the legs of self-proclaimed world gods shake until they peed their pants echoed through the chaotic void. With each growl, the uninhabited worlds trembled, the closest ones even fragmenting and exploding.

"Grrrrrrrrrrr..." "Grrrrrrrrrrr....".

The grunt-like breathing was as if an extremely terrifying entity was sleeping peacefully in the dark void, accompanied only by the countless stars surrounding it.

No matter where one looked, however, there was nothing, simply darkness more chilling than the mouth of the abyss.

Or so it seemed...

It was always said that if you stared into the abyss, the abyss stared back. Although no one could say whether that saying had true meaning, no one could deny that the abyss could certainly swallow the will of a being.

That was certainly when the abyss opened its eyes or was it the master of the abyss or chaos? No one knew yet.

The two pairs of eyes swept their gaze across the entirety of the Chaotic Verse. The formerly dark abyss instantly became painted a faint red, as if space had been tinged with crimson blood. With his gaze alone, the spatial ripples began to ripple.

The four red eyes, which could easily be compared to some of the largest stars, blinked lazily.

Thanks to the illumination of their eyes, the body of the giant entity became visible.

Four arms that could embrace a stellar fountain, two long legs that rested on the chaotic void. Its gigantic head contained four gigantic eyes. However, it had no mouth, or at least, not on its head.

Its firm, bulging grayish chest was covered by a gigantic mouth in a vertical and horizontal shape, almost resembling a cross. Sharp, gleaming teeth that threatened to penetrate everything along with a small amber ball of fire were visible inside its mouth.

It was ferocious and, at the same time, terrifying and intimidating. It was as if this gigantic entity could swallow dozens of worlds with a single breath.

The entity had felt its body go numb as if danger was stalking it, something that had interrupted its eternal slumber. However, he seemed to have soon lost interest and closed his eyes again.

Who was he? An existence that could endanger him? What a joke!

The instant his gigantic eyes closed, the reddish abyss was painted black again. And after a few long minutes of silence, the monstrous growl that made worlds tremble began to rumble again.

Nader's soft caresses ran down Yue's bareback, who was curled up and purring like a tame kitten on his chest.

A small smile hung on Yue's bright face. Her frail arms were tightly wrapped around his neck. Her eyelids fluttered with happiness as she rubbed her face against Nader's chest.

Yuki, who had previously watched them have sex for a whole day, was cuddled close to them, her crimson eyes fixed on both of them.

At this wonderful sight, Nader couldn't help but smile warmly.

Suddenly, however, his expression froze, and his body shivered slightly.

Feeling Nader's body stiffen, Yue lifted her chin and looked at him.

"What's wrong...?" She asked. Her worried gaze was fixed on Nader's serious face.

He let out a deep sigh before looking at Yue and shaking his head in denial.

"It's nothing. I just felt an uncomfortable feeling running down my back. However, I guess in the end it was nothing, and it all falls to my imagination."

Of course, he had lied. Only he knew what had really happened.

Ever since he was a little boy, Nader had possessed a rather frightening instinct. It was like a sixth sense that warned him of dangers beyond his present reach.

This sense, many times, had saved him in the past, for whenever he felt uncomfortable, he would train until he could not get up to overcome his limits and not perish against his opponents to come.

Who knows how many years had passed since the last time his instinct had kicked in. However, this time it was on a completely different scale, even now, his hair stood on end, something that had never happened before.

The reason he didn't tell Yue the truth, was because he didn't want Yue to worry about something that might, perhaps, not be of so much importance later on.

Besides, what could he do right now with his puny strength besides training? Nothing.

However, he soon stopped worrying about it. The sense of unknown danger was not directed at them or this Verse, or at least, so his instinct told him.

'My system has a cloaking ability that Levana had put into it, making it impossible for a being to learn of my existence or my location'.

'But who was the source of this terrifying presence? I have never sensed the danger of such caliber before. Ehit? No, I highly doubt a world god would possess such strength'. He thought curiously as he relaxed his body and patted Yue's head.

Meanwhile, Yue was still pondering.

She was by no means an ingénue girl. She knew perfectly well that Nader wouldn't have been alarmed by anything, let alone to the point where his body was trembling.

At this point, she assumed that something serious had happened, but since he returned to his serene face and said nothing about it, she no longer thought much about it and enjoyed the feeling of the pat on the head.

After all, being worried wouldn't help her or her beloved.

"Hey, Yue. I was thinking of surfacing tomorrow, what do you think?" Nader suddenly said.

He could feel Yue's small body trembling. When he looked into her eyes, he could see that expectation and happiness dwelt there.

He knew how much his little vampire longed for it, for the warm feeling of true sunlight along with the breezes of pure air filled her lungs. So seeing her so happy at this moment, made his mood, improve exponentially.

"Yes!" Yue exclaimed.

She hugged Nader's neck tightly as she stared into his eyes, cherishing him before kissing him on his lips.

However, she soon pulled her face away. Her lips curved upward into a seductive smile.

"Fufu... then we have time until tomorrow."

"Heh, I wonder if I should go all out right now until you collapse and run out of strength to walk." A mischievous smile appeared on Nader's face, and he squeezed Yue's bare buttocks, massaging and kneading her.

Yue visibly shuddered at his smile.

She had tried everything she had to defeat Nader, however, even if she used all the techniques her personal maid had taught her three hundred years ago, she could not defeat him in bed.

Contrarily, it was she who was losing. On the other hand, it didn't matter much to her, as she loved the feeling of being completely overwhelmed by Nader's love.

She didn't shy away because of Nader's provocative smile and began to move her hips up and down while seductively brushing her soft, fleshy lips against Nader's lips.

"Kyu..."

And so, Yuki simply jumped off the bed and went to look for some fish in the water.

"Yue, Yuki, I have some special gifts for you," Nader said and under the curious gaze of Yue, who wondered what he would give her, a beautiful pendant appeared out of nowhere in Nader's hand.

He encircled Yue's neck with the bright ruby-colored pendant and, with a kiss, pulled away from her.

"What is...?" Yue asked.

She knew that it was a pendant, but she felt a sense that its energy was boundless, so she couldn't help but feel intrigued.

"It's an energy restoration pendant that basically grants you, infinite mana. To activate it, you need to send inside it a strand of your mental energy. With this pendant equipped, you won't have to worry about running out of mana during a fight".

One of the worst situations a mage has to go through on the battlefield, without a doubt, was running out of mana due to the limitation they possessed. Knowing this, Nader had not even hesitated to give his beloved vampire a heaven-defying pendant, literally.

With this pendant, she was basically invincible and immortal as long as her enemy didn't wipe her out with an attack, which obviously, Nader wouldn't allow to happen.

Yue didn't know where he got all the amazing things he possessed, however, she didn't think much of it. She believed that Nader would reveal everything to her someday, besides, she knew that he was gifting her this treasure because he was worried about her safety.

With that thought in mind, a warm feeling welled up in her heart as she hugged him.

"Thank you, Nader...".

Although such words of thanks were unnecessary in her relationship with him, she couldn't help it. She was happy to have someone who cared deeply about her.

Nader simply nodded with a smile and took Yuki by her shoulders to put an earring in her long, fluffy bunny ear.

"Kyuu..." She squealed a little and looked curiously at the blue earring carved into her quivering ear.

Unlike Yue's pendant, which was unique, Nader gave his fluffy Yuki an earring that granted its wearer the ability to increase her physical attacks by 50%. Obviously, it had no side effects like the treasure Nader had seen on Levana's shelf.

With all this done, he wasn't so worried about them anymore...

He knew he was being overprotective of them, but he couldn't help it. There was an existence that could put him in danger wandering around who knows where, so it was better to be prepared rather than regret later.

"Now that we're all ready, we can leave".

"Mmm..." Yue nodded with her stoic face. However, it was obvious that she was excited.

"Kyu!".

"I have something to settle with the Holy Church. We'll make a stop there and then give ourselves a bit of a vacation before looking for the other labyrinths."

"The Holy Church...?" Yue asked.

This was because Nader still hadn't mentioned anything about what had happened between the Holy Church united with the Heiligh Kingdom against him.

"Oh, that's right, I hadn't told you yet. Basically, the Holy Church and the Kingdom had branded me a heretic as it had happened in my previous life, which is really no surprise. And...". Nader continued to patiently explain everything that had happened when he had come to this world.

"Mmm... I see". Yue nodded in understanding.

Despite her expression being stoic, the grip on Nader's hand tightened, and she came to understand that she was annoyed with the stupid people. They wouldn't even leave Nader alone, even after his death and reincarnation.

"Don't worry about something like this. They'll get their due in no time". Nader muttered, aware of Yue's thought.

"Mmm, okay...".

"And even if that God Ehit sticks his nose in our way, there is no other fate for him but to perish just like our future opponents, both of this world and the worlds we will visit".

"Yes!".

As if sensing the exciting atmosphere, Yuki jumped on Yue's head and happily began to shriek.

"Shut up..." muttered Yue and pinched the belly of her friend, Yuki.

"Kyuu..."

Nader smiled at their exchange and took Yue's soft hand.

"Teleport."

With his single word, they disappeared from the room. Leaving behind, a silent, empty, and lifeless place.
